haven't played it personally, however from what I hear it's a mediocre RPG at best. Nothing really new or revolutionary and I hear combat can get repetitive.
that being said I find a major issue with me getting 'into' RPG's is that I can rarely get invested in the story so if you really love the Show or the books than it might be worth trying just for the sake of playing a game of thrones game.
To be honest though the sword fighting was not what interested me in the TV show or the books so a combat focused game of 'Game of thrones' might be pretty hit or miss.
TL;DR: I hear mediocre unless you really like the Game of thrones setting.

I think I'll just leave this [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheProblemWithLicensedGames] here. I'm always cautious when something comes out in one type of media that is currently a hit in another. Usually that's how they try to cash in on the popularity of the name.
I've played it, it's a travesty. They get two actors to return for voices - the guy who does Lord-Commander Mormont, and the guy who does Varys. They both sound bored as crap. The plot - what little I saw of it before I got fed up - was not that interesting, the protagonist is a generic badass, the gameplay is dull, the graphics are mediocre, and the environments are generic. I honestly cannot think of a single thing to recommend it.
Wait until it's on sale ..... an incredibly cheap sale.
If you are a huge fan of the books/show then there is a slim chance you may like the long winded drawn out story.
If you are not a huge fan then it's a mediocre RPG that probably would have been good had it been released on the PS2 many moons ago.
There are better RPG's out there and as a Game of Thrones tie in it's still shite.

If games based on movies are almost always total pig swill then chances are not so good for a game based on a television show.
That is not completely correct. It's not really based on the television series. Development of the game started seven years ago, before the television series was even green-lit. All semblance to the series was tacked on late during development, most probably to take advantage of its sudden popularity.idarkphoenixi said:
