Game(s) you loved but never beat.

What game(s) do you love that you never actually beat?

For me I have 2. Knife Edge 64 because its was next to impossible to got passed the 3rd level and Mercenaries because the story was boring. Once I got ghe cheats to unlock every bomb and unlimited cash who needs to beat the game?

Donkey Kong 64, its fun right until that seventh boss. I could never get the timing down to finish it off. Still felt it was worth playing up till that point.

I just couldn't play all of the halflife from th orange box, just too much content, i didn't even get past the 1st episode. Just not enough variety of gameplay to keep me in for the whole duration. But for a while it was fantastic.

I eventually ended up beating Banjo-Kazooie. I was able to beat the last boss in Banjo-Tooie on my first try, but never on Banjo-Kazooie. Even though I'd owned the game for well over a decade, I finally ended up beating Grunty a couple years ago.

Now one game that I could never beat? Super Mario 64. Oh sure I beat Bowser a ton of times, but I've been at 119 out of 120 stars for as long as I can remember. I just need the 100-coin star in the Clock Tower level. Man I could never get that.

Broken Sword 2 for the Playstation. Got to the boat playing as Nico (can't remember if that's her name or not), then kept getting shot by one of the thugs. Damn and blast.

Also Multiple campaigns of pc RTS's. I don't know why, I just had little patience for them in general (except Age of Empires 2).

Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark......not too sure why i didnt finish that one. Working on it now though.

Makes me sad to admit but I never finished Majora's Mask just couldn't get past the fourth and final dungeon I loved it so much though but eventually had to give it back to my friend who I was borrowing it from.

Half-Life. I always get to the point where I just have no desire to finish...

Fallout 2. My play through had a game-breaking bug just before the very final mission. I had spent so much time getting to that point that to have it screw up so badly, so late I just gave up on it.

I should point out that it was actually my second play through of the game as I had experienced a game-breaking bug at an earlier point when I played before. After getting that far to have something happen again was simply too much to just start again, as I would have been doing it just to grind to the end and see what the last mission involved.

Another one. I got up to the final boss and I just couldn't beat him with the character I had, even though I knew exactly what needed to be done.

Psychonauts.

I love that game, so much so that I would easily rank it in my top 3 and I regularly play through it, but I am just unable to finish the Meat Circus level. It is actually quite depressing.

New Vegas. Over 200 hours at the moment, and have yet to beat it. I probably won't beat it until they release their DLC allowing me to play after the final mission.

Earthworm Jim. By the time I learned to play my Genesis was stashed in storage somewhere.

The first one that comes to mind is Okami. I really loved that game, but I have still not beat it for some reason I have never quite figured out. I had unlocked the final "dungeon", but then I just... stopped playing it, for whatever reason.

I also never beat Baldur's Gate 2 either. I was in the Underdark with a level 20 fighter, and nearly all the best swords in the game and most of the sidequests completed. I stopped playing it for a week, but when I went back I found that the game files had been corrupted somehow. I fixed it, but my first character was gone. I just never had the heart to try and get back to the part I was at. *sniff*
