This has probably been posted before but I'm pretty new to this forum and thought I'd try it. Question: has anyone had a gamer dream? A few people I know do this after way too long playing a particular game. I did so in the recent past when in the course of a perfectly "normal" dream I started seeing WoW question marks and exclaimations above peoples heads and thinking that instead of escaping whatever was chasing me I maybe had enough time to get some more XP.

In my experience, my dreams almost always mimicked events going on in my actual life. I also seldom remember anything about them. But I remember dialogue boxes in them..for some odd reason.

I had a dream that was like a totally ordinary day but with subtitles once. I think I'd been listening to music so had turned the game subtitles on...
EDIT: I think its nightmares that already out. Just depends how picky you are, I guess.

I've only had one gaming related dream in my life, that was when I was nine or ten. We had played Super Mario Brothers for about twelve hours and I passed out with the controller in my hand. The dreams were of the swimming level with the music and all. One of those fever dreams that repeats over and over again until you go wake up in a cold sweat.
Life is good when your friend's parents are going through a divorce. Get to do whatever you want on sleepovers. The main detractor being that you have to deal with screaming adults. Sometimes throwing things and saying things that no ten year old should ever hear.

I had a dream once after going for the first time with my brother to an all night Halo 2 party. I basically dreamt that we were having an epic sword battle (as characters from Halo 2) and got cut in half and things like that. Another time it was about Warcraft 3, but that one was lame.
I can't say I've had a dream in a game environment, but I've had "normal" (what passes for a normal dream these days?) with characters from games in them, kind of like cameo roles in my dream where they do nothing significant but are just there.
I played CoD4 for like 8 hours straight when I first got it. I actually had dreams of me zooming in to kill other players (game players, not real people) in my dream/nightmare that night. It was awful! I actually had a dream about people throwing chicken bones at me after I ate 47 wings and a milk shake one time (just 1 time...lol...that's for the movie buffs who know that quote).
I had a dream once that I was on a beach at night, and all sorts of wierd alien things were teleporting in and attacking people and while everyone around me was dying, I was quickly trying to scan everything, Metroid Prime style.
More recently, I dreamt that me and a friend were being chased by a dwarf with a grenade, and kept getting killed and having to restart from a checkpoint until we got away from him. Then later on we came across two floor switches that we both needed to stand on together.

i played a demo for the willy wonka video game and had a nightmare about drowning in chicken noodle soup in a large purple factory castle thing
After playing far too much on a NWN server, I started to have dreams about the place and it was at that point I resolved to cut back on the level of gaming there.
