So, I just finished Bulletstorm, an amazing game with addictive gameplay and awesome visuals with tearing up as many people as I can. Afterwards I went out to read some reviews for it, Just because that's what I do, and every single reviewer had to point out the childish humour, and how pathetic it is.
Now I don't recognize the humour as clever most of the time, but it didn't ruin my experience, it didn't hinge it, hell the childish humour even worked in making me laugh here and there, it helped drive the characters in the game, because that's who they were.
And yet constantly I'm hearing people complain about this, was I the only one who enjoyed Bulletstorm's humour? allbeit there is much better, but it didn't leave a stain on me, the part with the giant robot was actually hilarious. Similar thing's have been said about Duke nukem, although I think that's just because the game was bland, not really the humour.
TL;DR So do you guys think that childish humour is never funny? does it drag down your experience in a game?
