Games corrupting children...?

We've all heard/seen the news stories recording the various way's video games are corrupting "the children!!",of course, in some cases games do somewhat earn this reputation, gta/manhunt etc. but as a media...

so here's a question, if u set out to make a game to corrupt children for real, what would u call it and how would it corrupt them?


i think i should mention this isn't serious it's merely a jibe at the "experts" who are so quick to denounce games with little or no reason/understanding but please hold back the really offensive ideas,

I would make a game for parents, it would have the premise of 'ultimate salvation for your kids' or something, as they play the game more and more needless worry facts bombard the parent, like bacteria count on hands, furniture, toilets etc. eventually the game leaves the parents so worried, their children never plat games ,go outside, have friends, read or write and the child becomes corrupted with bile and hate until one day......

make a game when they have to act out a real life job, work for ages on graphics so it's as realisitic as possible and subtly destroy their innosence as u make them fire ppl as they cry "i've got kids to feed!"

I would do a game that is sweeter and cuter than a japanese kid's game - at first. The disturbingly cute characters stay just as cute, but gradually become sexually perverted flesh eating murderers. By the end of the game, the children think it's funny to bite a beautiful woman's face until she bleeds to death.

Ya, parents would be easier to brainwash than children. Just tell them that what they do is for a nebulous cause like "For the children" and they will approve just about anything to not having the stigma of being "Against Children."

Or, I'd make a game that involves nuking people. I think getting joy out of giving millions of people cancer can corrupt someone pretty fast.

I've got to corrupt kids, eh? In that case I would make a game about what it's really like to be an adult, how you've got to deal with a dead-end job, a failed sex life, alchaholism, dealing with those little shits who are your kids.

The game will follow your dreary life for two in-game years until finally you can't take it anymore and commit suicide in any way you choose. Failing that, you can always choose to just go psycho and murder everyone you see (with the real life consequences of the police finding you out and serving time in prision, a little hint, don't drop the soap).

The working title is going to be, 'Your life: 2025'.

I guarentee you that it'll have a profound effect on any kid who plays it to completion.

You would have to crate an iconic rolemodel for children. Set the children up as a nondiscript first person charicter. Have the children set on many many tasks by this rolemodel. Then slowly slip the moral backing for whatever missions/quest/things the child was doing from kind and moral to crule and immoral.

Then bam you create new levels of scum in the world.

NOTE: You will have to create an extreamly strong emotional tie with the child before twisting the morality of the game.

I'd make a game where you have to set up several "professional studies" to try and ban/outlaw things you do not understand and have never even TRIED to understand, but hate blindly none-the-less. I think I'd call it BLIND HATE: Jack Thompson

After that, I'd make sequels such as BLIND HATE: The Church and Gay Rights.

I would make a game where you're part of a fundamentalist group of your choice, either the extreme Zionist Jews, the Jihadi Muslims, any one of the right-wing Christian assholes or any other group with the same standing. I would fill it with the extremist views of said groups, either as in-game talk or handy little hints on the side, and I would also pass a law saying that it was mandatory for every child between 1 and 16 to play it for at least five hours a day (hell, why not go the whole hog? You're already stretching fantasy's limits to the point at which I can adequately construct code for a game and get said game out on the market, so why can't I pass laws as well? It's basically the same probability...).
