What are the best games out there for any system last and current generation that are less than 20-30 dollars, that still hold true.

I hate to be the first to reply to my oown post, but I thought I would give out some examples.
1. Armed and Dangerous for Xbox (Average Gameplay, but amazingly funny story and dialogue)
2. Puzzle Quest for Xbox 360, PS2, and Nintendo DS (Deep as the ocean, and as a addictive as crack)
3. Splinter Cell: Double Agent for Xbox 360, Xbox, Wii, Ps2 (Emmersive Stealth action, and it's funny to knock out guards.
4. Gladius for Xbox, Ps2, Gamecube (Fun Gladiator Turn-based stadgey RPG)

This is weird - do most last-gen games in your community cost more than $20-30? I haven't paid more than $30 for any Xbox game in my collection, used or new, and I bought the console early last year.

Star Wars: Republic Commando. One of the best games that was released on the Xbox. Crappy multiplayer but the whole single player campaign was brilliant. Good graphics, good guns, great AI, good story, great level design, good everything. I recommend it.

Heroes of Might and Magic III, best TBS game ever with some of the best graphical design and soundtrack to be made for any game. Can probably buy it with both expacks for 10 $.

All the Blizzard games before WoW are cheap and still att the top of their field.

KoToR and Jade Empire are excelent RPGs and can probably be purchased for a small sum of money.

Halo 2 offers briliant multiplayer.

Soldat [www.soldat.pl]

It's fast, it's fun, it's very active multiplayer wise and it's FREE!

Killer7 I found dirt cheap a few weeks ago. Well worth a shot, also Viewtiful Joe is incredibly cheap now.

Also pretty much any PSP game. Find the gems from the early days and you're laughing.

Definitely Knights of the Old Republic. You can't afford not to.

I've heard great things about Baldurs Gate II: Shadows of Amn, if it's still around in a bargain bin somewhere, you might consider trying that out. I doubt it's more than $10/£5 now.

Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War :D Can't go wrong.

Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast. It has great multiplayer. But I suggest you go on the servers with no force powers or weapons, just lightsabers.

Doom: Collectors Edition. If that's still floating about, get it! It has solid single-player and thousands of .wads out there so you'll always have something new to play. And if you're a fan of multiplayer, download skulltag and play it online co-op or counter-op. I'll say this once, and only once people. Doom is the past, present and future of all FPS gaming! Embrace it! :D

Homeworld 2. One of the rare RTSs that I enjoyed/was good at. It has a complete 360degrees playing field. You can lead assaults from top and bottom, side to side, great fun.

Diablo II + Expansion. Nothing needs to be said, other than get it.

Most of these are more than a generation old, but all are definitely worth a go. Enjoy!

Starcraft Battle Chest
Warcraft Battle Chest
and as someone mentioned before, Diablo 2 Battle Chest.

Spider-Man 2 is also worth a shot, if you're willing to forgive the subpar combat.

Can't belive nobody said Beyond Good and Evil. One of the best games on the last gen systems, and since it sold so poorly it should only be about 5 bucks.

Also, Devil May Cry 1 and 3 are must haves.

Ten, actually. I bought it last week, turns out it doesn't work on Vista. I like my money, so I was quite dissapointed.

Global Defence Force is supposed to be criminally sold at an ultra cheap price. I've not played it myself, but reviews are strong and it's available for about £5 new on Amaon.co.uk.

If you do get Beyond Good and Evil, don't get the PC version unless you're up for a few patches and tweaking to your pc.

Rilak, you seem to be a Psychonauts fan. Stupid question alert; have you got Grim Fandango?

Any of the Silent Hills. Preferably 2.

Okami. Seen it go for $19.99 used. Might be more expensive depending where you go.

Dark Cloud 2. I throughly enjoyed it.

Breakdown on Xbox. Frickin hard game but really different and innovative.
