For my uni course (Audio Engineering) I decided to get a Mac. Unfortunately there aren't all that many games availiable for Macs

At the moment I have: Deus Ex (1), Starcraft, Starcraft 2 and Warcraft 3 (on wishlist I'm ordering the computer today)

It's a Macbook Pro so it might struggle a little bit with really modern releases, but otherwise if you could lend your thoughts to recommending me a few more titles I would be grateful. Cheers

playing on a Mac!?

jk, um, Valve released a bunch of their games for MAC's, and if you can play Starcraft 2, I assume you can play them. and don't worry about buying a bad game from them, all of their games are good.

Go the Mac section on Steam also for more games.

I suggest getting Steam. It has support for Mac, and a whole section of games for the Mac that you can buy.

Half-life 2 is on Mac, and so is Team Fortress 2. If you like Penny Arcade you could get their games.

I use a Macbook Pro as well, and I currently have:

Warcraft III and Starcraft (+expansions)
Civilization IV (+expansions)
The Orange Box

And I have ambitious plans to expand onto Age of Empires III as soon as I get the chance.

Also, it may be incredibly hard to find, but I never rest on my eternal search for the first two Fallout games for my Mac.

I suggest Sauerbraten, it's a free open-source deathmatch FPS. Best thing about it is that it literally has NO LAG.

I'd suggest Escape Velocity Nova or pretty much any other game already in this thread.

I'd say it's more like 80% are good, there are still a few bad apples in the Mac game selection.

Install Windows as dual boot. Problem. Solved.
Seeing as it's a Laptop that'll kill the battery about three times as fast and take up a helluva lot of hardrive space that I need for my music (70gb and climbing)

If you are getting a new one they have HDD's over 200GB, a partitioned HDD can be as little as 12GB and you only really need as much enough to hold a couple of games at a time, alternatively you could use a program such as Crossover http://www.codeweavers.com/products. It's basically a virtual machine if you are familiar with those and works well.

Otherwise there are tons of games on Steam for Mac these days.

EDIT: Just to be clear I have my 4 year old Macbook Pro HDD is like 80GB and I have a partion with XP using bootcamp (though they do support Windows 7 now) and it works fine for older games like Oblivion.
