I've was playing it at a friend's house yesterday, and I found it to be really fun and a break from the gritty "realism" first-person shooter. So I was wondering if there were any games that were either backwards compatible or for the 360?

I'm thank you in advanced.

So thank you!

The original Jak and Daxter. I like the ones after it, but they try too hard to be "hardcore". Fun, but not always light-hearted enough. Except for Daxter. Daxter is great.

Edit: Not the game, Daxter, mind you, but the character.

By backwards compatible, what system do you mean with? Because there are more Ratchet & Clank games for the PS2, as well as a wealth of other similar game series for that system. However, if you simply mean for the 360, I can't really think of any off the top of my head, sorry to say.

Here's my best suggestion:

Go out, buy a PS2, and play those games, they're all wonderfully made, and tons of fun.

Screw money, you have enemies to anniliahte!

I'm confused as in what you want? A non-gritty/realistic shooter? Or a "Ratchet and Clank" game that's on the xbox?

Spyro 1,2 and 3
Made by the same people. Same degree of fun and humour though there are numerous differences. Examples being the lack of interchangeable weapons, you basically have fire breath and a charge attack and have to make use of them as best you can. You do get powerups on certain levels however (superflame/charge, ice breath etc.). Basically its pure platforming as opposed to R&Cs mixture of platformer and 3rd person shooter.

Less action but more puzzles.

Oh, sorry then, I'm afraid I can't help. But apparently, neither can anyone else so far. You may want to change the title of your thread to something a tad more specific because I'm pretty sure none of the games listed so far have been for the Xbox system.

Either or preferably the latter
That's actually hard to answer both with good games. Besides all the mainstream games, I would say Metal Arms that's for the original xbox also on games on demand. It's a third person shooter with some comical moments where you play as a robot with ALOT of guns, maybe more than Ratchet and Clank. It has almost no platforming besides jumping from ledge to ledge to progress. It has a pretty lengthy campaign, I think 42 missions maybe with some boss fights. It's an entertaining game and worth a playthrough at least to anyone that likes having fun. I'm surprised it didn't get a sequel. It does have local and system link (I think) multiplayer.

You can buy Banjo-Kazooie on XBLA. Bit more cutesy than Ratchet and Clank but it should be worth your while.

If you want a non-gritty/non realistic shooter get yourself Serious Sam HD on XBLA, i also believe they have the banjo Kazooie games there too those are fun, tho im not entirely sure how much like ratchet and clank they are.

Edit: dang Ninja'd on Banjo Kazooie

Play the entire series, it was my first shooter, AND IT WAS AWESOME. I still have all 3 for the PS2 and the Deadlocked thing (still fun, but it was a completely different thing so I don't count it), and it's now the #1 reason that I'm jealous of you bastards with PS3's
As for games like it, the original Jak and Daxter and the Destroy All Humans games come to mind, but not much else.

edit: I don't give a shit if you don't have a PS2, go out and get one. There are so many awesome games for that, that I laugh in the face and piss on the home of someone who doesn't own one or one of the backwards compatible PS3.

edit 2: ^Listen to that man. They're very different games, but you can see Banjo and Kazooie influenced a great deal of Ratchet and Clank's platforming sections. They basically invented the idea of controlling 2 characters who work in tandem.
