We've all been there: We get home from the store, new game in tow. We shred the plastic wrap on it, commandeer the tv or computer from our siblings, throw the disc/cartridge into our console/pc, and boot up the game. Then we play for a few minutes, get sooooo bored out of our skulls that we would rather go do something productive. The game comes out, goes back into it's box, and it out on a shelf and is never touched again until you think to yourself "hey, maybe i can get a few bucks in trade value."

What games have you bought or rented that weren't even worth the energy it takes to put them into the machine? For me, being a primarily pc gamer my personal list includes:
-Black and White (uninstalled it after getting halfway through the tutorial)
-Rage of Mages (in the top 5 of my worst games ever list)
-Seven Kingdoms
-Army Men

Keep in mind that this thread is all opinions, so if someone mentions a game you like, let's not have a flame war, ok?

Colosseum: Road to Freedom. It was just... so... mind-numbingly average... there was nothing special or unique about it at all!

Death By Degrees on the PS2. I got it used for $1.99, and I kind of want my money back.

Most JRPGs.
Usually the characters are so incredibly flaccid and cookie-cutter, nevermind the plot, that I refuse to stomach listening to their inane blather for another over the top, thirty-minute long cutscene.

Final Fantasy 13

If I want to walk around and not get to fight monsters I'll go for a goddamn walk.

Red Dead Redemption is the first one that springs to mind. Luckily I took it to another store and got about £10 profit. Used to buy better games such as Resident Evil 4 on the Wii.

Speaking of which

Resident Evil 4: Wii. Put it in once. Got past the first cutscene. Switched it off. Will go on it again. Just dunno when
Same can be said for WET too.

Mm'yup. Hence the reason for "most" as the very first word of that sentence.
Disgaea has spoiled me with interesting characters, great dialogue, and a unique plot?

Alas, the many spawn of Japan doth oft' pale in comparison.

The Lord of the Rings: Conquest - I was so excited about this game. I preordered brand new from Play.com, wish I never had :(

The Saboteur - I just couldn't get into it, it all felt like it had been done before and better. The whole black and white thing was the only redeeming feature.

Dragon Age Origins - Hated it from pretty much the first time I fought any enemy.

F.E.A.R. - It was just so... dull.

IT IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED
ALL CAPS IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR AWESOME.
Just to clarify, I am not a raging EDF fan. Haven't even played it.
OT: Yeah, I don't really like that approach.
I think that most of the games deserve a second look.
Yet, for the sake of argument... nah, I still can't think of anything.

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men - The controls sucked something fierce, and I hated just about every character in the game.

Bioshock 1 - Took me a day to beat it and got most of the upgrades, but since the upgrades didn't follow into the next new game I played, I never touched it again.

Darksiders - See above.

WET - It was painful to look at and play. If I wasn't in pain, I'd become so bored from the game I'd get a headache.

Final Fantasy 13 - Regardless of boredom, I withstood it until I beat the final boss, and haven't touched it since.

I also tried GUN. It controlled like a fat man riding a unicycle. Ditto on the Baldur's Gate, but I tried it more than once.

Half life 2 and portal. Just boring. The guy above said ff13 because you just walk. i loved ff13 and at least you fought. Half life and portal was walking and listening to dialogue and observing the story apparently. (Mumbles to himself "needed 3 generators to open a door i could have easily destroyed or disassembled with the gravity gun stupid padding out")
