Everybody's got at least one. Talk about what game(s) bring back happy memories, and why.

Mine:
Team Fortress 2: Back when it first came out, I was 16, and not quite old enough to play M rated games. (My mom was strict.) Once, she and my stepdad went on vacation during summer and left me at home alone for a week. Rather than throw a giant party, I ordered The Orange Box off amazon and played TF2 for almost a whole week. I felt like such a rebel. >:]

The Simpsons: Hit and Run: Like I said, I wasnt allowed to play M rated games, so all throughout middle school, my friends and I would play this instead. (For those who dont know, this was a T rated GTA clone starring simpsons characters)

Parappa the Rapper: The first video game I ever played. You never forget your first time. ;]

Pokemon: Any 90s kid who doesnt have this on their list is a LIAR!

Spyro the Dragon- The very first video game I've ever beaten. This was probably the game that made me into the gamer I am today.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee- My most favorite game of all time. Introduced the themes of slavery and corporate greed to me at a very young age. Not to mention it was quite challenging.

Pokemon- I've only beaten Diamond out of all the Pokemon games I've played. But back in the day, it was one of the things that brought me and my friends together. Not to mention it spawned a (then) great anime with some movies as well.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsitence- possibly the first "mature" game I've ever played. (By mature I mean mature themes such as WWII, nuclear war, politics)and the very first MGS game I've played. I loved the characters in that game, and I really liked the stealth element in the gameplay.

I could go on and on about how each game has left an impression on me throughout my younger years, but the list would be way too long.

All of these, except I've played and beaten all of the pokemon games. I fondly remember being too young to understand the concept of having a balanced team back in Pokemon Red, thus my team was comprised of a level 71 Charizard and five Dugtrios ranging from 51-60.

Crash Bandicoot, the original SSB, Final Fantasy Tactics & Crystal Chronicles, and Gauntlet 64 also come to mind. The last three I remember my best friend would spend weeks at my house at a time and we'd just hand off the controller, moving our own separate units on FFT. That is, if we weren't going through year I-lost-track-after-fifty in CC.

Classic WoW, *tear* for nostalgia.

Call of Duty 1, 2, & United Offensive, so many fun nights in the dorms playing against other people on the same floor. Haha, it was so much fun to get a great kill, and here the anguished groan ring down the hallway from someone else on the PC.

Pokemon Stadium. So much. It was a game that my dad and I spent hours upon hours playing together. It was so awesome.

Flashback: Quest for Identity.

I still remember the roll-shield-fire pattern required to beat those damn jetpack guys,

Whenever I go on a search for my old point and click adventure games - Indiana Jones And The Fate Of Atlantis, Kings Quest series, Quest For Glory series, Search For The King, Day Of The Tentacle... man... ANY point and click brings me back- and turns me into that little boy sitting in that massive comfy office chair in the studyroom in front of our ANCIENT white IBM computer, just being totally amused by anything that happens in the game... or totally frustrated by not being able to progress the game because... you had to combine the matchstick with the dog with the fondue and chocolate bar in order to open a particular door/create particular beast-slaying-weapon, arbitrarily complete a totally obscure and random item to progress the quest.

Also - every once in a while, I have to revisit Star Control 2... that game was like... most of my childhood D:
