So there a few games that for the life of me I could not finish. various reasons:

GTA 4 (PC): That fucking glitch at the end where I couldn't get into the helicopter. I looked around for patches and nothing fixed it. I looked for custom fixes, but none worked for me. Then after a week of trying I just stopped caring

Silent Hill 4 (PS2): For some reason when my friend and I got near the end, we simply could not finish it. Some sort of glitch. We read up multiple times on what you're meant to do and what is meant to happen, but we simply could not trigger it. Tried restarting, loading etc. nothing worked. Also we only had one PS2 to try it on.

Extermination (PS2): a resident evil type game, where you go to Antarctica and a virus has broken out etc. If you get hit by some creatures, you get infected, and must use a potion or something else, or you basically die after a period of time. It was a pretty good game until the very end where it became fucking crap.
The last boss was ludicrous in the extreme. You're on a small raft and the boss starts out as a sea slug and you have to shoot at him and have the choice of two weapons to use. The only thing is that he spews those gay alien things which infect you, and then you require the potions and shit.
Second version of him he comes to the front of the ship and you have to shoot him again, whether with your own bullets or with the mounted gun, but you quickly run out of ammo on your own gun.
Finally the last bullshit version he comes as a man and stands in the middle and spews endless alien things that constantly infect you and other gay shit. Takes so long to get to the third stage by which point you have no potions or anything, and no saves to fall back on. You died? Do the whole thing from the beginning! Such a shit ending and after trying so many times I just gave up.

What games could you guys simply not finish, either do to glitches or just bs?

I remember playing the Zathura videogame like 5 years ago; the one based on the movie based on the movie Jumanji.
Anyway the game was halfway decent. But one of the last boss fights I could not complete for the life of me. I spent hours trying to figure out what to do but I ended up stuck in that one room every time. I eventually realized I cared more that I couldn't do it than I did about the game so I just stopped.

Lost Odyssey (Xbox 360): Got boring and I didn't feel like finishing it. I lost a lot of love for it because of whoever though the "Temple of Enlightenment" was a good idea, should've been shot, and I just gave up because I was bored.

Enslaved Odyssey to the West (Xbox 360): Same reason, got boring really fast. An annoying, irritating, boring combat system. Platforming felt fun only at the beginning, then it just fell apart from there. Oh and it's piss easy.

Gears of War 3 (Xbox 360): Recently a thread I made got blocked because I was finding someone to buy it because I absolutely hated it, I'm the kind of guy that likes a game to have both a good Campaign and online. Which sadly Gears of War 3 only focused on the Online, the campaign was a disaster, and I refused to play through the rest of it, I quit playing after the death of Dom because I immediately announced the game to be a waste of time. (Oh and Gunkers made me angry)

Record of the Agarest War (Xbox 360): We had a power surge while it was saving and I lost over a 100 hours of gameplay, I never put it in again.

Bioshock 2 (xbox 360): The very idea as playing as a retarded guy with a fish bowl on his head angered me and I stopped after the third hour.

Baiten Kaitos (Gamecube): Remember what happened to Record of the Agarest... Yup... Only it was like 40 hours lost

Demon Souls & Darksouls (Ps3 * Xbox 360): Both irritatingly repetitive.

Disgaea 3 (Ps3): Hated the cast, hated the music, hated a lot of the changes to the combat system, hated the setting, hated the idea, need I go further?

there are a few others, but these are the ones I've played in like the past three years that made detest them...

Fallout 3: just couldnt bring myself to finish, idk the setting was too dark and dreary.

Oblivion: I got skyrim, and the campaign didn't feel very rewarding or engaging

Dragon age origins: combat was frustrating

Max Payne 2: coulnd't figure out where to go during the bomb at the ending.

Kingdom Hearts: I just.. I felt like a pedo. At first when I saw it I was like `Oh, sweet, I love Disney, and Final Fantasy!`... but when I played it (as a 13 y/o girl) I felt all... icky.

I could never complete so many games. Recently, it was...
Batman: Arkham asylum... Too boring.
Assassin's creed 2... I hit a bug in my version. I could correct it, but it's a hassle and it can't seem to hold me well enough. Great game though.
Saint's row 2... That fucking Ultor mission. With the sea-doo, and the helicopter. Fuck. AGAIN!

Fatal Frame 2 locked my cousin and I out of a door we had to get into. We never finished it. We totally need to though; those games are amazing.

I also never beat Killzone 2, but that was just because it was completely oblivious to the fact that graphics and gameplay alone cannot carry a game. Ugh.

Spoiler tags are the friends of everyone who might have a game ruined by your post. Use them.

I just wonder; why would you say it sucks because of that? What about that makes it a waste of time? It was a rather beautiful moment, really. What about that scene makes the entire game a waste of time?

You did not miss much by not finishing.

Even though the campaign was like 2-3 hours long -_-

Dragon Age: Origins and Fallout 3 are the first two that spring to mind. I didn't play either for that long because I just didn't like them. I can't exactly explain why I didn't like them; they just didn't do it for me, and I have no idea why...

The only one I can think of that I couldn't finish because of a bug or similar was Ultima VII: The Black Gate, I got right to what I assume was the final location, but either a key didn't drop or I screwed up in some other way so I couldn't get past a certain locked door in the bad guys' base. Major bummer.

Oh, I never finished the original Starcraft either - there was a particular Zerg mission I couldn't beat for I don't even remember what reason now, so I never moved past that point.

As for games I never finished just because I couldn't be bothered... n'yeah, that's a pretty long list. Bioshock is probably the highest-profile one, by about a third of the way in I'd gotten over the visual and sound design and ended up feeling pretty indifferent about grinding out the other two thirds of the game.

I never got around to finishing the original F.E.A.R, partly because the PC I originally tried playing it on wasn't really up to running it and I never got around to reinstalling it on my newer machines.

as a kid, i could never fully complete burnout 3:takedown on the ps2. there was one championship at the end that was infruriatingly tough, where one tiny mistake could cost you an hours work. infruriating is an understatement. never finished it.

Some of my N64 games would have to count.

Donkey Kong 64- I gradually got annoyed with how I had to almost constantly switch characters just so I could pick up certain items, some important items were difficult to find, and I remember the boss fights being murderously hard.

Shadow Man- it's very hard to navigate around places and the game sometimes doesn't tell you much of anything, which can possibly lead you to be lost or stuck early on.

Quest 64- my memory of this game is slightly fuzzy, but I think I remember it being somewhat hard to navigate like with Shadow Man, but I also remember the combat being slightly obnoxious, with your spells being somewhat weak prompting you to smack monsters with your staff up close to get things done quicker, only for them to have close-range attacks that knock out much of your health. Also, the hook thing on the protagonist's hair keeps shaking around, making it very distracting.

Majora's Mask- It's just the difficulty that kept me from finishing the game, really. My first playthrough I got past the third dungeon, but years later I decided to start over, only to not make it past the second dungeon, and I don't even remember how I got past the second dungeon.

Metroid : Other M . I tried so hard to like it , but i didn't . I tried so hard to at least finish it , but i couldn't . Truely a terrible game. And this isncoming from a guy that finishs all his games to justify him buying them . I even finish sakura wars :SLML and i hated that game with a firey passion.

Also silent hill2 . I still to this day can't play that game without gettig scarex like a little girl ( i'm a man 23 years old ). When i get to the hospital i quit , just so damn creepy .i finished all the other silent hill games but SH2 just freaks the shit out of me , just thinkng about it gives me the heebeejeebees.
