I don't think this has been done recently, if ever. What games make your adrenal gland over active? I'm talking serious blood pumping and racing hearts.

I just had a game of Street Fighter IV online, and my hands are literally shaking from adrenaline. That game really hits the spot. I need a smoke.

Mirror's Edge.
A good online multiplayer game of Gears Of War 1 or 2, where it's down to winning a single round or staying alive until the end of it (Warzone, Execution).
Or a good game of Search and Destroy on Modern Warfare 2.

That's all I can think of, I don't get adrenaline moments often though. Only when I'm really immersed in the game or it's a "this last round will break the tie" game.

Try a game of Street Fighter. I think I need to go to a hospital or something.

Playing any PvP game online for the first time gets my blood pumping.

When I get better at it and I know what to expect the rush becomes less, but just jumping into an online game I know next to nothing about is awesome.

a lot of online games, where you fell you really have to win it, and especially fighting/shooting games.

The last few chapters of Uncharted
The third act of Mass Effect
Kicking the asses of all the "hardcore" gamers in Halo, getting MVP, and proving you don't have to play the game excessively to win at it.
The fight with Ares in God of War (on "Spartan" and above)
The final challenge of the gods in God of War
Basically anything where I'm near the end of something and I'm almost dead, but I know I can win.

I'd still play shooters online if they were as fast paced as Quake II DM was. Or were as tense and full of constant weighing of pros and cons of doing everything as darkmatches were in Unreal. God I miss darkmatches. They should bring them back.

Mario Kart.
Yeah. When you have to get at least Silver on 150cc Rainbow Road, it's very very hard not to choke and fly off the edge of the road.

That is, Mario Kart DS or earlier.

Also, Dead Space.

Fast paced games such as Assassin'S Creed 2 and Mirror's Edge are brilliant for getting your blood pumping. Horror games such as Silent Hill 2 can also get have your heart racing, just as often as it can make your heart stop. I don't get adrenalin rushes from shooters so much.

JRPG's.

Nothing quite beats the thrill going up my spine, the first time I see an opening-cutscene.

Yeah bosses in certain games can do it too. Demon's Souls is one of them. Trying to fight Flamelurker on new game+ has possibly lessened the years I have to live by five.

Bayonetta & Devil May Cry 3 (Devil May Cry 4 also, but only with the Dante Battles.)

Trying to make stylish combos makes my head to a boil.

The finales from Left 4 Dead 2, especially with my regular group.

"Alright, it's the four of us against an army of omnicidal zombies. We've got little ammo, no melee weapons, and a single medkit and grenade for each of the four of us. The enemy is numerous, bloodthirsty, and pissed-off as hell. More people have died trying to make this very crossing than we can imagine. I say:

Bring. It. On."

Any good game with good sneaking aspects.

A horror game with the knowledge of that the enemy is there

TF2 as a spy with a hundred pyros running around

L4D2 survival, god it gets me pumped up sometimes.

Intensive runaway sequences.

Games, where you fight a long boss, who kills you with single hit, cause you screwed up the parts before and you´re health didnt replenish during the cut scene and dying would mean only the humilatation of doing it all over again, cause your last checkpoint was 30min ago in another country!!

.....And intense racing games
