Face it. Nearly any gamer worth their salt has played enough video games that they have a few games that despite their incredibly horrendous gameplay you can't help but love the game. even if the story isn't good enough to make up for it.

For me my number one favorite bad game probably has to be Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets on the Ps2 there were ALOT of stealth missions in the game and the stealth mechanics were um well not so good. in fact I hated the stealth sections. in fact the entire game was pretty bad but the stealth sections were the worst.

But I still loved the game. and honestly to this day I can't put my finger on it. maybe it was because you got to fight the whomping willow. maybe it was because no matter how many times you blasted Snape with a spell you would never suffer any consequences. but whatever the reason. I loved the game.(and I still do to this day)

So what are a few of your favorite terrible games and why?

Mount and Blade. the graphics are poor, the AI is dodgy and the entire game has about two words of story 'go nuts' and usually these would make me hate a game but in this instance I can't help but love it, the freedom is incredible and you have choices I haven't seen in a game before such as 'I could free this simple bandit, or i could take him to a city and sell him to a slave trader...' I've never experienced a game like it and for all its shortcomings I can't help but love it.

Dynasty warriors. All of them except 6 and 2. Everything about them is mediocre I suppose but I've always liked the story and I do enjoy mowing down lots of people in fell swoops so I like them.

That sounds pretty interesting actually.
Another one of mine is Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon. The gameplay is horrible but it has one of the best most compelling stories I've ever seen in a game in my opinion.

Alpha Protocol comes to mind.
Buggy AI, weird stealth movements, bosses are way too hard and the hacking/lockpicking system is hard as hell... but I still love the game!

My friends keep saying vampire The masquarade - Bloodlines is, quote: "Maybe the most silly vampire game in all existance and should be ashamed to be made."

So.. yeah, I love it and Im just playing it again with the Final Nights mod. Haters gonna hate.

This. Also, Dragon Age 2 is widely considered to be a failure right? Well, I'm playing it now, and I quite like it. It's not Mass Effect good. But it's good.

I really liked Hunted: The Demon's Forge. Gamespot gave it a 5.0 and IGN gave it a 6.0 i believe. I personally loved it

I also really liked Final Fantasy XIII ALOT. But it seems everyone hated this Square Enix game

Dragon Age 2 fucked up so much that was right about Dragon Age Origins, and I still love it.

Also, I Made A Game With Zombies In It (which I am not even going to try to write the way they do in the actual title) is a demented little thing that seems like every flash game on the internet, and it is awesome.

Mount & Blade is amazing, and in no way is it a sucky game. It is what you make of it. I'm a play it now in fact. Oh yeah, OT it's got to be Two Worlds. I really enjoy it. I have 700-odd G from that game and I don't regret a second of playing it.

I heard about that and I'm actually considering downloading it next time I have a few left over points. didn't so many people like it because of the music?

Well DA2 was only considered a failure compared to DA:O, in fact it was a decent game, but DA:O was great, so Bioware failed.

Mafia 2, I agreed on Yahtzee with a lot of what he said, but I think that even though it has a very underwhelming ending and the overall basic mafia storyline, I found it very well told and enjoyed it immensely.

umm. hard.
Age of Conan maybe. despite it´s flaws, it is a very fun game. Least, it was, I no longer have a gaming pc :-(

Alpha Protocol was alright too.
