I've spent some time on the 'help me find this game' thread and it occurs to me that there are quite a bit of games I missed out on in the past. Then it occurred to me that there are games from this generation that I've obviously missed out on and I thought it would be good to get some non-partisan insight on some good stuff (and hopefully enlighten some others in the process).
I suspect that within the next year there will be a flood of used games getting traded in and that retail prices on older, 7th gen titles will start to drop. Either way, I think there are some games that are worth picking up before they're available only on eBay.
Rather than have people list two dozen titles with no insight, I'd like to see if people can pick five (5) games from any 7th generation system. And if you have some PC titles you'd like to recommend, please indicate if you think they can be run on older or less powerful systems, such as Torchlight or AvP 2000.
My personal choices are:

My personal choices are:
[li]Warioware: Smooth Moves - Wii. This first one's kind of cheating. This was practically a launch title, so you'd be lucky to find a new copy. I had to buy mine used and I liked it so much I bought two more used copies for my family. I feel bad for saying this but if it weren't for Warioware I wouldn't even have a Wii (yes, I'm aware of both Mario and Zelda). Good for parties. Alcohol helps enhance your experience.[/li]
[li]Crackdown - On 360 only. This game is already six years old but it's still freaking fun. I don't think there's any other game that made my palms sweat as badly. That's because you're climbing tall ass buildings like Spider Man and can jump from building to building. I guess you could say it's like GTA IV except you're a cop, with all cheats on. And your cousin isn't constantly calling you to go play darts.[/li]
[li]Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time - PS3 only. Even though this game is technically the last in a trio of games (Future: Tools of Destruction-->Quest for Booty-->A Crack in Time), I think it can be played by itself. There's a large collection of puzzle elements in it involving time and until you've played it there's really no proper way to convey just how tricky those puzzles can be. Even watching YouTube Let's Play videos might not give you an advantage to solving them. Insomniac packed in cool features at the end that give you the impression that it was their masterpiece; more like a goodbye than anything else.[/li]
[li]Saints Row the Third - PC, PS3, 360. Say what you will about the change in direction from SR2 to SR3, but the little-known outstanding feature of Saints Row 3 is that the entire campaign can be played with another person. I've finished the game both ways and can tell you that Volition managed to integrate player 2 perfectly. Sections in the single player game that were on-rail shooters change in co-op, allowing you to, for example, pilot a helicopter that previously moved automatically. One thing, if you're hosting a game and a stranger tries to join with cheats enabled, don't let them in. Nine out of ten times they're a troll.[/li]
[li]Beyond Good and Evil - Digital on Steam, Amazon, 360, PS3, etc. If you're in the mood for something different, get Beyond Good and Evil. It's a decently sized world to explore and has some nice side stuff like racing and air hockey. Just get it. Buy it and send a message to Ubisoft to stop sitting on their older IPs while doing absolutely nothing. Hey, it worked for Mirror's Edge.[/li]
