I used to have a sweet job for Volvo in the nightshift in a warehouse. It was great because I had loads of free time. I used to take my DS with me and play for hours (mainly advance wars). Unfortunatly I got a promotion and now I can't play games annymore (allthough today I do have the time to post on this forum :) ). Do you play games at work? If so on wich system and what games?

Technically, since I'm self-employed, I'd have to say yes. But I try not to turn on my 360 until 5, 6 in the afternoon.

I do. I write stereoscopic extensions for games so I kind of have to.

Stereoscopic? You mean you make games so they work with 3d goggles? Cool! Don't you get a headache from it though?

Actually, since we've started reviewing more games in house, we're spending more time in the break room for video capture sessions. Most of our "research" is conducted on our own time, though.

I don't really, but when I get home I play with a vengance. The day goes by too fast at work, there is always something to do so when I least expect it it's already 5:00PM.

Yes I do. Some people are more sensitive to headaches than others, but our extensions allow you to adjust the amount of distance between the eye frames, so you can lower it if you're getting headaches. Our visor also has a headtracker built in that can emulate the mouselook in most supported games (we have about 60 supported now).

This is sort of turning into an ad, so I guess I'll stop there (the company's name starts with a V :) ).

I work in research for agriculture, getting employed by the canadian government. Now, if you ever find yourself with the opportunity to work for a government, I would strongly recommend you do, because it is so slack. They expect nothing from you, and you get a lot of down time in a day because of it. So, I found my fascination of flash games to be a great way to make the day go by when I had finished my quota of work(portal flash game was one I spent a while doing). Never a system though, I still feel like I am doing work when I sit at my computer, as well, people think I am doing work when I sit at my computer. Thats why I leave the DS at home.

I guess it doesn't count if you work at a game developer...

We have daily CoD4 and L4D games around here

As a Beta tester it was my job to play the games, sort of. Anyways at lunch hours we usually ended up playing Street Fighter II Turbo ** ***** (Still under NDA).

I work from a home office so when things are slow I tend to turn on my 360 and play a bit. It works out great this time of year because we go from really really busy trying to close out project by the end of the year to really realy dead because anyone with any sort of power or pull at the company starts there Holiday leave around the 10th of December. So I basically get 3 weeks to sit around and play video games and watch a screen that says all the servers I monitor are running fine. Of course if something does go down I am on the hook to get it up ASAP since most of the account I work on are major online retailers and this is not the time of the year to have your servers go down.
