Just as the title says, which games do you find yourself completely addicted to/obsessed with? For me it would be Dark Souls. It is the only game I've put in my 360 in a long time, and once I hop on, I can't stop playing unless I absolutely have to for some reason.
Before Dark Souls, I was really addicted to FFX for some reason. I was always trying to max out the sphere grids and whatnot.
Seriously, I barely stop playing them until I've gotten all the armour sets and weapons that I want, and for anyone who knows the series, that can take up a lot of time.
Pounding a Rath's head in with a great Sword never gets old
But yeah, Dark Souls got it's claws into me for a while too.

I keep waiting for a PC port of the Monster Hunter games, I had the original on the PS2 and liked it a lot. But I don't have any console nowadays. So yeah.
OT: Skyrim for me I guess. I have put over 230 hours into it by now and sometimes I can't stop playing. It was especially bad when it was just released, entire days consisted of nothing but Skyrim, food and sleep.

Planescape: Torment, I just have to play it at least once every few months.
Lately, Orcs Must Die! Great stress relief. Especially after...
LoL...goddammit, I really have a love-hate relationship with that game, but I find myself insisting on playing it when I'm in the worst of moods. Not good for my health.
And Touhou and alikes (Like this one [http://www.kongregate.com/games/kupo707/bullet-heaven])

If there was a online PC version, I would need nothing else.
(I remember how AWESOME multiplayer was in the original game, I hope we finally get some non-wii online, even if its just on the 3DS only)
Oh well, I got Monster Hunter Freedom Unite to tide me over till then.
(I just love taking a Rathalos down by myself, something I could never do in the original PS2 game! )

This moment, there are people playing the best MH game around, constant updates, hundreds of pieces of equipment, loads of different monsters and their variations to hunt.

You are a horrible person.
Capcom is even more horrible! (Especially for killing Mega Man. :'( )
I just want to play that game so bad.
One time I was so, so tempted to fake my way in like some people have done.
But the fear of getting caught, and the time it would take, put me off it.
League of Legends, so much time spent on it... It helps that there are 100 Champions to choose from so whenever it gets stale you go and pick up one that looks interesting and boom it makes the game feel fresh again.
I know Ezreal is going to be free this week... I know it. Or I am going to feel bad about buying Nocturne instead of Ezreal.
The community sucks but as long as you don't touch Ranked with a ten foot pole you'll be out of the worst of it. Hey you can even play who you want to play in Normal! Rather than being lastpick Support Soraka in every. single. Fucking.Game.
Swear to god the Supports have a raw deal. So much scapegoating, so little time. We're getting locked down in our base and you rage about me not warding Baron? Sorry let me go and get my Ninja Tabi, sneak out into the jungle and try not to get instakilled by the 5 guys hanging around out there.
The constant patches and updates are always nice, they changed Orianna around a bit and she's totally fucking badass now.
Better AP ratios and damage on her Command: Dissonance, smaller cooldowns for everything, bigger leash range on The Ball, better indicators of where The Ball is going to go and her Command: Attack does less damage but whatever Dissonance was always the main source of damage anyway.
Oh and Command: Protect has bigger range so that pesky carry who ran off to facecheck a bush can be saved by your glorious E,W,R,Q combo
Double oh her passive, Clockwork Windup is now good. Seriously good. Like, late game AD Carry good... You get decent AP and your one or two auto attacks between abilities are just insane damage all on their own.
^gushing about how Orianna is awesome above, if anyone cares.
She's basically a badass Support who doesn't have to worry about stockpiling wards and having a shitty carry to drag them down. Her shield protects for a ton of damage and allows you to unleash a full combo onto whoever is attacking the guy. In short, get the fuck out of my house!
Plus she has the best voice in the game, just... Listen.
[sub][sub]So strange, they scream...[/sub][/sub]
Oh and Riot? How long is Foxfire Ahri going to be in the shop with the word "Unavailable" over it? It's killing me! Day one buyer right here!
TLR: Orianna is boss, Supports are annoying to play, Normal > Ranked, OMG FF AHRI! and you are a horrible person for not reading my post
I don't tend to get hooked on games like I used to, seem to get bored too fast. Been playing a lot of shooters on steam recently. Have you guys seen the number of F2P shooters coming out in the last few weeks? It's rediculous! I mean, you'd think they'd stagger it a bit...
Well I used to be horribly addicted to World of Warcraft when I was in like 7th grade so about 5 years ago or so. Since then there really haven't been any games I'm actually addicted to. I mean Call of Duty 4 has about like 35 days of gameplay on one of my accounts so I guess that one, but in reality I played that so much not just because I really liked it, but because at the time I didn't really have any other multiplayer games, and there weren't any on the market I was interested in. As a result of this I pretty much beat any single players games I had on 2 or 3 difficulties, then went back onto CoD4 because multiplayer=replay value IMO.
I do however occasionally have stints where I'll have a Skyrim craving and I'll get on and play that non stop for a week or two but that usually dies down, so I guess I'd call that a temporary addiction.
But the moral of the story is:
Yes the game is in all honesty extremely fun. But don't get into lol. Trust me.

Total War, for sure. Hell, it's what inspired the second half of my account name!
Currently, I have over 300 hours logged from Rome to Shogun 2...
I don't know if I should be terrified or excited about Rome 2!
