Games you have completed on hard mode or higher.

So i know a lot of people don't play games on difficulties higher than normal, but for those who do, what are the games you have completed on hard or higher? By completed i mean the main story , extra bosses , dungeons, secrets , collectibles don't count , just the story. Also the game has to have difficilty setting , so difficult games like dark souls that have no ajustable difficulty settings don't count either.

Also as a sub question: which of the games that you named was the easiest to complete on hard?

Personally , i tend to start most of my games on hard since this generation , because i'm a gaming masochist of sorts , i like me a challenge.

I'm probably missing a couple , but if i can't remember them , then they didn't leave a lasting impressin on me .

The easiest game on hard mode on my list will have to be castlevania: lord of shadows . Serveral times i checked to make sure i was on hard , because i really just breezed through that game . I guess when you start on hard you have to learn how to play the game properly a lot faster.

...Holy shit. I rarely play on Hard the first time around and I don't replay games often so I can only think of a handful of games I went through on the hardest difficulty.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
Halo (all of them except for ODST)

I even tried to go through veteran on the other ones but just got too frustrated. I'm thinking my age is finally taking the best of me. I don't have to replay all my games because I now have money and I don't want to spend the time getting killed for the five hundredth time when I could just go get a brand new game. I will play a game on the hardest difficulty for a few weeks until the next big game comes out. Once that shiny new game is out, I'm out.

EDIT: Now that I look at it, these are games I played during college. Well, this explains my education level...

Woah, you beat DMC 1-3 on the hardest difficulty? I'm having trouble on the 2nd easiest on DMC4. Although I've never played a DMC game before that one.

I guess my list looks pretty pathetic compared to that. I've beaten Darksiders on the hardest difficulty and found that pretty easy. I also beat The Darkness on hard too but it didn't give me the damn achievement for it. That was pretty tough. I've beaten quite a few games flawlessly which have difficulty settings that alter based on how well you do, do they count?

Too many to list without looking like a braggart. No offense. It's fine for others, I just personally wouldn't want to. So, yeah, I often play on hard modes, but usually only after completing on normal to get a feel for it.

Honestly? I can think of ONE. Mafia 2. And only because Hard mode was super easy.

I don't play for challenge, so I never bother with higher difficulties. Usually I'll stay with normal, occasionally easy.

I've beaten a few, like Hitman: Bood Money and Metroid: Zero Mission, but the one I'm the most proud of is Contra 4. I've beaten it on hard, without using continues. It took quite a lot of practice to get good enough in the game to do that. I pretty much have the entire game memorised; that's how much I've played it.

OT: My list is much shorter, mostly because I don't start on hard and have to love a game to play it more than once. I've beaten:
Halo 1 & 2 on Legendary,
still working on Bioshock hard mode no Vita Chambers (I'll finish it eventually! I just need to set aside time to do it)
If KOtOR had a hard mode, I beat it
Mass Effect 1 & 2.

Yeah, not a long list. C'est la vie.

Well I've played COD 4 on Hardened and almost on Veteren...the only achievement from COD 4 I don't have is the second sniper mission where you snipe Zakahev and you have to survive until the helicopter picks you and MacMillian up.

I've played through MW2 on Hardened.
I've played through Gears of War 1, 2, & 3 on Insane.
I will play through MW3 on Hardened in the near future.

I'm sure there's more, I used to start games on hard. Now that I'm grown up and have to go to work every day, my skillz have fallen off and I usually start with medium. Of those I listed Perfect Dark was the hardest by far. Game was ridiculous.

I generally play on normal first, just because if i end up not liking the game i'd rather not be stuck slogging through it longer than i have to.
But if i really like the game (halo, prototype, diablo etc.) or if i know its gonna be way too easy on normal (heres looking at you Mass effect 2), then i'll start on hard.

As of late? StarCraft 2 with all the assosiated hard difficulty achievements, also all the STALKER games on hard, oh, FO:NV on hard hardcore mode! I'm sure there were more but that's just off the top of me head :>
