Games you loved but people hated you for liking

as a child or in high school many of us played games but some people would hate on you simply for liking a certien game based on how it looked or what not


I love Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie both of which people hated in my school because they looked childish to them and they insulted me simply because of it I find it extreamly stupid how some people can hate games like that.


So what all games do you love but people hated on you for liking?

My friends used to tease me about how 'bad' TLOZ Wind Waker looked.

I thought the style was perfect for the type of story it was portraying. They've grown up a bit since then, thankfully.

for example me and my freinds are huge mario and zelda fans. and i mean HUGE. but for some reason and even i don't know, i hate Mario 64 and A link to the past. i find them boring compared to the rest of the games and i get huge hate from my freinds because of this....im probably gona get huge hate from people on this to

My brother mocks me when i play Ratchet and Clank because it looks like a kids game. Well i suppose it does but that doesnt mean its ONLY for kids. Some of the humor would go way over a kids head.

Well I've been hated for playing Project Diva for some reason. Probably because of the name of the game they think its some dating sim...?

I recently got hated on for liking Too Human. As in like, in the past week or so. I really liked the game, and even replayed it recently. So what if people want to complain about it, that's not my problem.

I play butt loads of skate 2 because i'm a HUGE skateboarding fanatic. Unfortunately my gamer friends hate skateboarding and my skateboarding friends hate video games and "nerds"

I wouldn't say 'hated' but I didn't exactly get cheers when I said I had bought Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. They consider it not worth buying, since there's only a single player campaign, and nothing to do after, like a multiplayer.

This, to which I replied "Yeah, but so far I've done the single player twice because it's goddamn amazing!"

Then I gave a lend of it to one of them two months ago and haven't seen it since... I should get that back.

I get hated on cause I liked Final Fantasy VIII, and Chrono Cross. I have no idea why I get hate for this...

I get hated on playing Black Ops, I personally think my friend is just jumping on the "I haet teh Bleck Oops" bandwagon, along with the three other people in there. I mean really, everyone's complaining about how bad the multiplayer is and really it's just because of the other people, but Nazi Zombies is friggin amazing, the campaign is epic and really.. I don't find the multiplayer so bad.

I guess trolls have an immunity to each other.

Im personaly not a fan of multiplayer but my love for Journey to the West and how they didnt do it to well in portraying is what turned me off for the game not to say its a bad game tho it had its momments :3

A few years ago, I was bitched at for playing Sonic 2006. I sold it ages ago, though, but people could just shut up.

My friend recently started brown nosing black ops unnecessarily, for popularity, and yet bitches about the campaign. They're a group of "gawd, only multiplayer is funnnn!" types. I played through the campaign so I could unlock "five" for us, and absolutely loved it.
