Ok everyone put on your nostalgia glasses 'caus where gonna be taking another trip down memory lane!

So what are some games that you remember differently from the last time you played it? It can be from any time in your life.

For example when I was younger, Ocarina of Time scared the shit out of me. The first time I fought Gohma I was as unnerved as an 8 year could be at a Zelda game. After facing those skeletons out in the fields and the screeching zombies in the Royal Tomb I was done.

Of course after playing it a couple years later I didn't find it scary at all (cept the zombies...they still creep me out)

Begin!

I remember zelda 2 being a lot harder and a lot less intuitive that my last playthrough . Note that i haven't played it in so long that i forgot everything about that game . But when i went back to play it this year i didn't find it all that hard , frustrating maybe , but hard no... Except that final boss . Dark link is the worst boss ever . Also death mountain wasn't as terrible as i remember it . As a kid i dreaded that fuckig place . I think since i played dark souls right before zelda 2 made me immune to frustration .

When I play Sonic Adventure 2 Battle now, it feels like it takes SO LONG to raise a Chao. When I was younger, it didn't feel like it took so long, since I played that game all day long. And I actually had the time to do it. I didn't have a giant backlog of games to distract me from it, though. I also remember, back then, that the controls were so much smoother than I'm experiencing now. Dunno whether it's because I haven't played it in so long, or I've become accustomed to much better camera control since I got my PS3.

I remember pretty much every game that I used to play being much harder than it actually is.
for example I can beat Spyro the Dragon no problem now a days. In fact I did it about 2 months ago, but when I was younger it took me so long to finish it

As a kid, Space Channel 5 Part 2 was a horribly confusing mess of a rhythm game.

Now I absolutely adore it.

I don't understand the question.
Ex: You play a fun game now, but remember it being scary or boring when you were younger.

Admittedly I didn't really word the question right now that I look at it haha.

It's very much the opposite for me. As a full-grown adult with much more thinking and expeirence at hand, I really enjoyed the intricacies and tactics present in really making powerhouse monsters in Monster Rancher 2. I gotta say though. Kids or new players will feel really distraught as to how to really make strong monsters because the game doesn't hold your hand in what you should or shouldn't do.

DOOM 2. It used to scare the crap of me when it first came out. I also didn't remember the last boss being so lame and beating him based on dumb luck.

I played Half Life 2 when I was 12 and Ravenholm scared the hell out of me.

Now I run through it with the gravity gun with an insane laugh.

When I first got my ps2 and FFX, I thought the second or third seymour fight (the first one where he has the mort something) was insanely hard. I came back to the game in a year or two, looked at my party, got all my aoens and people overdrive and beat it in one go.

Careful man I don't think you're allowed to do that.
