Games you wish you'd of paid more attention to?

In all your years of gaming have you ever thought back and wished you'd picked up a game you still havent tried?

For me one of the major ones was the Discworld series, I've never touched them. With it having such a rich story and characters and wicked humour (that I know of..Like I said, I've never played them but know the jist of'em lol) ya cant help but feel slightly gutted that it didnt have its time in my spotlight.

Wether or not these are still accessible I'm not sure....But I guess theres always the books!

Or heaven forbid the dreaded next-gen REMAKE! *tremble*

I think my list is rather long. I remember there were tons of games my brothers played that I did'nt care for. And I kinda wish I did.

For instance. Half-Life. I did'nt start playing that until episode one was announced. And so it would be a lot easier to understand the story if I'd play it from the start.

Fallout. It's becoming quite the nice game I see (still brothers playing), and so I'm considering starting myself. But again, I wish I'd start sooner.

Halo. THat's being hyped about a lot. And I played it once. MUltiplayer seems fun, so I wish I had startet before.

Saints Row. Saints Row 2 is awsome. And it is the continued story of SR 1 (wich I enjoy counter GTA's diffrent person each time) I'd love to have known by the time SR 2 came out.

So yeah, there are plenty. The list goes on until the unlimited. Can't change the past though (as far as I know), so I'll have to catch up with just playing the previous games these days ..

but yeah.... probably most "good" pc games, because my computer couldn't play them, but now that i just got a BRAND MOTHER F*CKING SEXY ONE i want to go back and buy all the games i couldn't

I would have to say the Halo series. The only one i have played has been 3 because i never had a xbox to play the 1st or 2nd. and now i'm 2 much of a gfx whore to play the old ones lol.

I missed out on quite a few good games i think ( I didn't play Half Life till EP2 came out). Until a few years ago (when i started playing WC3 for a while) i was a part-time gamer at the most. Ive gone back and played through all of the AOE campaigns (both AOE 1 and 2)and loved them.

Luckily, i'm trying to find Fallout 2....hmmm...

I really want to know what the deal with the Metal Gear series is. I played it once and I didn't find it very fun, but I assume most of the appeal is in the story, so I wouldn't mind sucking up the gameplay to find out what the hell an "Outer Heaven" is.

Having a 360 and nothing else, that would be quite an investment for one series, so it's never going to happen. Although I should've played the first three games back when I had a PS2.

I missed a chance to play Ico once. I could have rented it but got something else. I have never seen that game again.

I've always wanted to play Final Fantasy VII. I even once bought a playstation, when I was way younger, but it actually broke before I had a chance to play it. I'm still mad about that.

EDIT: And Civilization for the PC. Just played the dumbed down console port.

Persona 3 & 4 - It hasn't really been that long since these games came out, I guess. But with my schedule, the chances that I'll dust off my PS2 are pretty slim.

Super Mario 64 - This game is on about every top 10 list ever, even top ten lists that have nothing to do with gaming, so it's embarrassing for me to even admit to this. I'd like to see what all the fuss was/is about, but I could never get into 3D platformers.
