In this age of used games, trade-ins, and -most notably- recession, It's getting a little harder to justify hanging on to our old games if we want to keep up with new releases without bankrupting ourselves.
Having said that, I think there is something to be said about building a collection; your own personal Criterion Collection of games, if you will. I'm sure most of us have been doing this with DVDs for years in varying degrees of scope, so why not with our games?
Of course I can't speak for you, but from my experience working at Gamestop, it seems to me that the average gamer is content to just keep a few recent releases around until they trade them in for newer releases.
So how about it? What's in your Criterion Collection? What games are you never selling or getting rid of? And what games do you think should be in your all-time collection?
