Gaming Ideas and how to make them a reality?

Okay, so I have a few game ideas, not just some crap I made up in a few minutes, like well thought out and fully developed ideas. I was wondering how I could get my Ideas to people who can actually make use of them...

I know some devs don't take fan ideas, but if I was to present my ideas to anyone, how would I go about it?

Any thoughts?

You could try getting into game development...and making them yourself, for starters.
You could also check out the Community Games on XBL, which allows people to make their own games and put them up for people to play/buy.

Learn how to make games and try to prototype them? Few people are prepared to work themselves to death for years on end making somebody else's impractical ideas a reality so they can take all of the credit.

Unfortunately there isn't such a thing as a "five second pitch" in videogames, unlike television where such an event can make or break you.

You need to have a few years of game design experience before people will even read your name, so.

My suggestion? Grab a copy of game maker, and try making them yourself.

I'm not making myself very clear...

I'm not interested in making those games, but more of like what Theo said, I would rather pitch an idea to someone, them take it away, think about it, mould it and make a game out of it purely because it would be (in my opinion of course) a kickass game. I never actually wanted to sit down and make an engine for said game, because well, I suck at that sort of thing.

I just wanted to know if it was at all possible that a game developer studio like Valve would sit down and listen to a fan preach a game idea and actually take it under consideration and not just toss it into a big room full of fire. I understand that this might be a stupid idea, but i'd like to at least try it before giving up on it entirely...

Thank you for your input though guys :)

I'd suggest making it yourself. There's XBL for one. Some games come with a copy of the editor(see fallout 3 and NeverWinter Nights 2). I'm sure that you can find an editor and then put your idea together but, you'll have to learn how to use the darn editor first.
