Hello

I am currently in the situation with my steelseries kinzu freaking out and double/triple clicking half the time (and lost my receipt).

So I need a new mouse for gaming, I mostly play strategy games but also Planetside 2 and some RPG's
So I really have no need for more than this:

- 0-3 buttons, no more, but preferably one for toggling DPI
- Proper polling? I heard you need this but I have absolutely no clue how high it has to be

I liked my kinzu, but the reason I am not buying one again is because I would prefer one with wireless. Since I have had quite a few problems with the wire getting stuck and such.

I hope you can help me out =)

EDIT:
I have been looking at the Logitech Performance MX, but it might be a bit too big for my hand. So if you have some ideas for smaller mice (like kinzu), that'd be great =)

If you're looking for something small it may look temping, but stay away from the Logitech Anywhere MX.

I've had nothing but trouble with it - some games don't like the logitech software meaning it has to be disabled, but that in turn means that the extra buttons quite often won't work.

And the mouse smoothing is intermittent. I normally need to manually enable it in game or using config files to avoid getting 'steps' when aiming or whatever.

I don't think there's the same problem with other Logitech products, but the Anywhere MX is one to avoid!

I would recommend staying away from wireless mice all together. Unless you spend top dollar on a proper gaming one, chances are you are not going to be satisfied. Wireless mice also tend to be bulkier and heavier because of the battery. I've had trouble with the mouse cable but it's nothing that can't be fixed with better cable management.
Kinzu is a small mouse and I can't think of anything equivalent in gaming mice, except maybe for Zowie ones. I think you should just get another Kinzu [small] and try not losing the receipt this time[/small]

Broadly I agree, but in fairness the previous wireless mouse I had was great. Got it for about £15 and it never had any problem with any game, and lasted for years.
Gonna definitely go wired for my next one though - changing batteries is a pain in the arse, and there's no benefit to having a wireless one now that my laptop's dead.
