gears 3 no longer has dedicated servers?

hmm, maybe an inadvertently misleading title. anyways, i just tossed in my copy of gears 3 and it seems that in order to play online on a dedicated server (a service that was advertised for the title and part of the reason i bought it) i now have to buy some kind of BS map pack. ?!!?

i am obviously upset about this, and i simply will not buy a map pack to gain the priviledge of accessing a feature i have already purchased. while i determine some kind of revenge for epic games, can anyone reccomend other titles i can play, or better yet a way to circumvent this nonsense?

It was an advertised feature at the time of release. Obviously no longer so. The game works just fine when you aren't playing on the dedicated servers (I can barely notice the difference on many matches). Get the map packs (which are all very good) or just move on.
