How can she be his daughter if, in the setting, kryptonians were artificially created? Wasn't Kal-El the first natural born kryptonian in aeons?

Anyway, meh. Time will tell I guess.

Depends on which continuity of Superman they're going with. Even so "child who has half my DNA being kin" wouldn't be too out there.

Zod makes a one-line reference to "degenerate bloodlines" in Man of Steel, so it seems they still keep track of a person's genetic stock, even if they aren't naturally produced. I know this because I have watched Man of Steel fourteen times, because I am a crazy person.

That's assuming they're following the films; I have no idea how they'd manage that on a TV show's budget.

Franchise is officially dead now. I mean, don't know who she is or who the character is, but apparently that's the required response whenever anyone is cast as anyone.

Having read the article...why is this show a thing? Was there a group of people interested in a superhero show sans superpowers? Is there any particular reason they're using Krypton instead of making up a different setting?

I'm trying to come up with something, but it's like if you made the prequel Star Wars movies made entirely out of the politics and "love" scenes. And as far as I know, movie Krypton wasn't even doing the civil war thing.

Only if we can pin it on the SJWs somehow.

That shouldn't be hard, there's nothing that can't be pinned on them somehow.

Well, the only kid Zod has in anything comic canon related was a dude, so...

SJWs making a female legacy character, the nerve.

I don't get it. The show says that it's set two generations before Krypton exploded. If anything, she's going to be playing Zod's mother.

Which begs the question...why isn't she called Martha?

It's a thing because someone thought a tv show about Krypton before its destruction might be intriguing. ANd yeah, the civil war on Krypton was featured in MoS.
