Getting a PS3 for Christmas, what exclusives should I get.

My fiance is getting me a PS3 for christmas, and I have no idea what games I should get. To be clear, I had one before, but that was around when the first Little Big Planet came out. Had to sell it to pay bills, now we can afford another one. What I would like is your opinion on what PS3 exclusives to get, as I have an xbox, and any multi-platform games I will be getting on that. (Xbox is just what I prefer, still love sony) Some I have played already, but would still like to hear your opinions on your favorite exclusives. Genre does not matter.

I did play the first uncharted, wasnt bad. Havent played ratchet and clank ever, might have to check it out

Ico and Shadow of colossus? Maybe God of War collection and the third game?
These are my only reasons for wanting a PS3 myself.

There's an absolute ton of PS3 exclusives that are worth getting. Some good, or at least decent, ones would be:

- Uncharted series
- Ratchet & Clank games
- Metal Gear Solid games (HD series is out now)
- God of War games
- Heavy Rain
- Resistance series
- Valkyria Chronicles
- LittleBigPlanet games

There's quite a lot in a decent variety of genres, so it depends on your tastes. There are also some cool PSN exclusives like Flower.

Hit up Psn for some of the classics.
If you don't have them already get the three Crash Bandicoot games, so many hours of fun.

- Demon's and Dark Souls. Best games on the PS3, if you ask me.
- Killzone 2 and 3, 3, mostly, if you like online multiplayer. It's the best online FPS I've played since BF1942.
- LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2. Marvelous games, wonderful creativity, endless possibilites. There is so much to do in those two games and the commnunity is great at keeping the game alive.
- Uncarted series. Just plain fun, very well made games.

Those are the games I'll recommend for now. All the other recommendations in the thread so far, are worth look at, though.

*facepalm* How could I forget those?? Geez I even own Katamari Forever. The Killzone franchise is also worth mentioning, though I haven't played it myself. Gran Turismo 5 as well, of course.

- Infamous 1 (haven't played 2 yet)
- LittleBigPlanet
- Ico/ Shadow of the Colossus HD

I don't know what your tastes are so those are general games anyone can enjoy. If you like FPS games Killzone 1 and 2 are worth a look. If you like RPGs and strategy games check out Valkyria Chronicles and Dark Souls). Plus Heavy Rain is worth checking out even just to experience, its a very unique game.

Also don't forget the PSN store! I recommend Flower, best 10 units of currency you'll ever spend.
