Ok so after a long long time of not playing the game (mainly down to boredom) I decided to pick it back up to try and properly finish it off and get a few achievements along the way. Problem is though I'm a little out of touch as to what to do so if I describe where I am fellow readers can offer advice.

Currently I'm at Gran Pulse with just over 40 hours into the game and I'm pretty much able to take on the final boss besides getting through all the obstacles in the way. I'm pretty much just grinding the two big beasts who give out 6.6k xp but it's very slow and very boring, with that xp I'm just slowly working my way on leveling the characters which I believe most have at least two full lvl 4 paradgrims. So my question is what can I do to make the leveling faster, what party/paradgrims/equipment do I roll for the final boss and anything else I need to consider so I can get most of the achievements.

You're pretty much stuck my friend. There is an enemy you can kill to get an acessory that gives you x2 EXP. Google that shit.

You dont need everyone massivly leveled. My first runthrough (on like my 9th) i didnt power level in the slightest or do any hunts. Just went forward.

As for a team? i dunno i've used every combination. One of my favorite teams is, Snow/Hope/Vanille
you get everything you need, you have two medics and a sentinal for when things get hairy, you have a greay Synergist and a great sabotuer.

Use that team and play it safe. WAIT be sure you cast poision! on the 2nd form, it destroys him.

As for the other guy talking about the X2 exp accesory, ya you can get but you have to fight a boss 5 times harder then the final.

godd luck! love this game, need any more help just ask.

Ah, but if you luck out like I did and cast Death on him, then all is well. Then again, don't you have to beat the game first in order to unlock those character-specific skills on the 5th level?

I remember what part you're at. I maxed out everyone while I was there. Yes, it's boring, but I was going for the 100% trophy collection, so I figured I'd get a jump start. If that's what you intend to do, don't stop. Maxing out that final level on each characters is BRUTAL. Adding anything to it will cause your eyes to bleed.

Am use to it i've maxed my characters out multiple times. as for the death trick ya thats true lol but boring. I'd rather fight the final boss then sit through casting death every few times healing then back to death just hoping. The character specific skills are level 4, level 5 is nothing but maxing out the role levels and giving you massive awsome bonuses.

Would you get jealous if I said Death worked within the first three tries on most of the major hunts? I remember thinking, "These aren't so hard. They're a piece of cake." Now, after watching videos of other people fight the same things, I realize how lucky I got.

I got lucky my first run through, but my later ones. Hair pulling annoyance. Took me 30 mins to death neochu or whatever is name is. Woulda been quicker to kill him the legit way.

yeah you pretty much dont need any planning for the final boss... i saved all pulse marks for after i beat the game due to: 1. i promised my self not to open the guide book till i beat the final boss (screw marks w.o the guidebook) and 2. it was so easy i didnt need to grind on pulse.
just use the paradigms u normally use and you should be fine :p. then again i was beast at upgrading my weapons so all 3 of my characters had max tier 2 weapons by the time i got to the final boss. >:D

and on this "death" talk... screw it. i spent a desperate hour to get death off on adamantoise, a HOUR of summoning, cast 100 deaths, die in one hit, retry, rinse and repeat. and i had a maxed malboro wand... im so unlucky

That's about as far as I made it before saying "fuck this game" and taking out of my PS3 forever. Fortunately I rented it... Anyway, good luck, grinding against those enemies sounds like a lot of fun. Cause, yknow, video games are supposed to be fun. Oh yeah, that's why I stopped playing...

The real pain was Jumbo Cactuar. I needed to rely on Random: Instant Chain to 5 star that fight.
I did eventually get it, allowing me to get my Platinum trophy.
Ah man I know what you mean. This and also the first time trying to get the 2x exp item.
Trying to cast death on that Neochu was one thing. Mopping up after the babies was another thing. I didn't expect them to hit so hard when you're not a tank (or sentinel.)
