I've never played a Ghost Recon game before but after looking at this trailer I seem pretty convinced this one is worth a play. Having said that, Ubisoft haven't been the best developer since Rayman went downhil and Assassins Creed hasn't improved at a great scale since the second one.

Am I falling for marketing ploys by wanting to play Future soldier or is everyone else convinced it will be a solid game?

Discuss.

@j-e-f-f-e-r-s You're right, I forgot about origins which seems pretty good and worth noting I guess.

Also I agree, it does seem reminiscient of CoD/Battlefield which is annoying I guess. Yes they're popular games and have been very sucessful but other games need to be popular and successful by being different which doesn't seem to be happening. It's going to be Medal of Honour trying to remake Call of Duty all over again perhaps.

Tom Clancy did do well with the sneak of the splinter cell games from what I played which when encorporated could work well in modern combat games. Looks like people nowerdays just want to run and gun which ruins it for other people (or myself at least). Rainbow Six was an enjoyable game with tactics needed and a decent, original aspects to the gameplay. We need people that dare to be different!

@SmashLovesTitanQues I can see what you mean by scripted which is a problem with games involving controlling team mates. Although the thinking aspect is what makes it enjoyable because it's not mindless shooting and rushing through the story without any consideration to what's happening.
