As I'm sure you've all heard there is a third Ghostbusters movie in the early stages of development. Dan Aykroyd [http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=81518] himself said that they would start filming next year with or without Bill Murray. He also said they were looking for "3 guys and a young lady". So what do you all think? Who could take up the mantle and be the next generation of ghostbusters? After a long discussion with my brother we came up with:

1. Nathan Fillion [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0277213/] - Pretty much the only actor we could think of to fill Bill Murray's shoes. You can't match Murray's Venkman but I like him enough to give Fillion the chance.

2. Mos Def [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0080049/] - Has some good comedic chops and could pull off the scared/funny that comes with the territory of ghostbustin'. Plus he kinda already was one in Be Kind Rewind.

3. John Cho [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0158626/] - He could fill the roll of the smarter/nerdier guy. The Egon roll if you will.

4. Olivia Wilde [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1312575/] - This was a tough call. We had a hard time trying to think of who could be the first female ghostbuster. Olivia Wilde certainly is popular and talented enough and I think she could do funny very well as seen on some episodes of House.

Honorable mention for the first female ghostbuster is Caroline Dhavernas [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0223518/]. She is less well known (here in the U.S. at least, I've heard she's big in Canada) but she was hysterical in the short lived but brilliant Wonderfalls [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361256/]. Check it out and then feel bad for not watching it when it was on TV.
