Recently I've noticed that it's almost impossible for me to have fun while playing FPS's. I might play one round or two, but then I'm just so bored I have to put the controller down. I think I might have grown sick of the entire genre.

Has this ever happend to you? That you've overplayed a game to the point where you just don't enjoy it anymore?

Bonus Question: Should I get Demon's Souls?

I think a challenge would be nice, and more than everything, something different.

I think I might have overplayed Fallout 3, but that's not its fault. I just did everything I could think of.

I think a challenge would be nice, and more than everything, something different.

it IS nice until the 30th time you try to do it. and i am NOT exaggerating. you will die thirty times before you know how to play right. and then you will do something on accident or listen to the wrong notice and you will die thirty more times.

but it's fun BEFORE you die. depends on your threshold for frustration whether you find it fun enough to stomach the constant dying.

I probably overplayed Borderlands when it came out. I played it through once with one buddy, then my brother gets it and he wants to play it through. But I was so close to level 50 I finished it without him and had to rush through to the point we were in his game.

So three go arounds in about 1 week. Now I have the DLC and I still haven't played it yet. Probably should give it a try.

As for Demon's Souls, it sounds cool, but I don't know if I want to get into it. I've heard it's good. But Punishing.

To be fair, pretty much any game can become too boring once overplayed...

If I could be consistently entertained by a single game, I wouldn't have to get more games to keep me amused XD
