Hello everyone, I just wanted to start spreading the new negative name for non-gamers. A lot of them have given us so much crap it?s time we have a name for them that we can scream in frustration.

I have coined a term for such aggravating non-gamers? It shall be Ord.

Proper usage for the term is as fallows:
Ord says ?put that game away and pay attention.?
Gamer mutters under his breath, ?God damn ord.?

Variations = Ordies, Ordy, Ords.

Pronunciation = Or-ĕd

Note: I am not looking for people to change the term to something new I just want to get people to start using it. Remember a million different terms will just fall apart, but if we go with this one, we can all have something to scream when another god damn ord messes with us.

Thanks in advance for all your comments ? everyone out here rocks.

Um... You can't just make words catch on that quickly and simply....

I have nothing against the idea, but what inspired you to decide on "ord"? It seems... a strange choice.

Calling them Ord as in Ordinary?
Thats the way I see it, and I'm not going out of the way to call myself un-ordinary...
Sorry, no love from Beefy here
Keep trying though, I know how hard it is to start a saying...

Anyway
"Ords" stinks. But so does any word for people who don't play video games. That's a terrible idea.
If someone tells you to put a game away and pay attention you should probably be paying attention to something and not playing games!

It's more likely ord will come to mean people who try to make words up than to mean a non-gamer. It's the law of the series of tubes we call the internet: Nothing will be done in the way you want it done.

I think William Gibson had a word for people not connected to the net in Neuromancer, it's on the tip of my tongue but I just can't remember, dammit it's gonna bug me for hours now.

Hey. Some of my best friends don't play video games. Are you calling them pricks? Because seriously, you can't generalize EVERYONE who doesn't play video games into a single category. With different cultures, that's called racism, you wanker.
Exactly. Besides, using the term Ord sounds like something a Trekkie would use. Sorry if any of you are a Star Trek fan, I don't mean to offend you people.
