Good Animation

With the release of such epic movies like Up and Princess and the Frog, I have to ask all ya'll out there: is anyone else here an animation junkie?

I mean, I was practically drooling during some of the song numbers in Princess and the Frog. Everything was just so...smooth. And colorful.

And of course, Pixar is always amazing, with their level of detail, character development, and wonderfully stylized settings.

So does anyone else get excited over stuff like this?

It's not often I can get worked up over an animated movie strictly out of the animation. But yes Pixar and Disney (most of their work at least) has proven it's quality.

I just wish they'd stop making half assed sequels.

Ah. I don't get entertained by it. Though some flash animations tend to hold the simple part of my mind.

I kinda like watching the animations on Newgrounds. Seriously, some of the people on there are amazing animators.

It's convenient, yeah, but it's not what makes a movie good.

Yet Pixar, despite having one of the best (if not THE best) track records in the history of filmmaking, still manages to kick that much ass.
