It embarrasses me to ask this kind of question, but outside of the mac, bk, kfc, wendy, what do Europeans have as good fast food from Europe that could see success overseas, like say Asia?

This conversation came up with a friend today and we can't think of anything that Europe has given out to the US or Asia or anywhere else.

Nando's? Wimpy was good but it's gone the way of MaccyD's.

And then there's always

The real problem is food prices. England especially has the highest fast food prices in the developed world, thanks to the VAT and fuel tax.

A chicken burger in Arabia cost me 30p. Same here would cost me £1.94. ($3.15 in US currency)

Although I've yet to see one outside of Ross-on-Wye or Gloucester. They're all of the good tho. Strawberry milkshake, and as many chillies/gherkins as you can stand on your (for me, chicken)burger. YUM!

I remember Burger Star! Not in Ireland of course but somewhere in Scotland I think it was we stumbled onto it. My favorite are the milkshakes, amazing goodness all around!

Now you made me hungry
