So I'm new on this forum and it is my first topic, I searched andcould not find a topic like this, and I was actually surprised by that.

Anyway...

Some people refuse to see the creativity of some people I want to hea your idea for a good game.

For me I would like to see a RPG set in Gregory Maguire's version of Oz.
Another one would be an RPG set in Stephen King's Dark Tower universe.
A GTA style Silent Hill Game.
A Silent Hill and Myst hybrid point and click game.

Hmmm...I personally wouldn't say that sticking gameplay from one place into a new setting is overtly that original but at least you tried.

I would like to see a return to good old fashioned arcade shooters (you know, the kind where your character can carry and armoury on him at one time and take enough damage to make a giant Japanese anime mech nervous).

Some of you may be thinking 'that is not at all creative or original' but think about it.

For the last few years (I'd say from around the time the first Halo came out) we've had nothing but Military FPS games where your character has one primary weapon and not looking both ways before crossing a road will result in you being shot, run over and shot again followed up by instant death, a return to form would be far more creative than the next US marines in space frag-fest (most of them tend to be cebtred around the multiplayer as well which means that a decent single player FPS would be a refreshing change of pace while simultainiously giving the proverbial finger to all who play CoD4 or Counterstike, very satisfying indeed).

Alternitively, (if that isn't enough to satisfy the arty emo/indie types on here) you could have a game centred around being a serial killer (not manhunt style, more along the lines of the sims with a hint of Edmund Kemper). The idea would be that you have to plan: who your victims are, how you'll get them/kill them/dispose of the remains, how to maintain a low profile, avoid the suspicion of the police/locals...basically a life sim for those with mental sickness. (Somehow I can't see it being made)

I thought we already had the second one minus the actual dim doing the killing in the Sims, where people would have great fun locking people in rooms and removing the door, or laugh when their sim light himself on fire using the stove and died.

I think I would appriciate a game that was a sort of return to form with you being able to hold six version of a rocket launcher plus every other weapon you ran across during the entire game. And instead of worrying about the fact you're low on ammo for your primary gun you just switch to the other 3 assault rifles you're carrying.
