So, I'm in need of some movie suggestions. I've been going through a Martial-arts movie phase, so anything like that would be nice. I've never really been fond of the movies where the use of wires is obvious though. Like, Crouching tiger, Hidden dragon. An example of a Martial-arts movie I enjoy, would be Ong-Bak. Although, I'm open to anything really.

Drunken Master with Jackie Chan is great, especially the last fight against the apparent Taekwondo master (at least, he kicks a lot).

Drunken Master 2

Watch it, or just watch the final fight scene, one of the best ever.

Ip Man is rather awesome as well, especially the 1 v 10 fight.

EDIT: In the time it took me to dig up videos, I get ninja'd. TWICE!

Basically avoid anything with Jet Li in it.

The Young Master is another brilliant jackie Chan film.

S.P.L has some really good fight scenes, It's about Hong-Kong cops. It's kinda slow in between fights though. the protector has the same lead actor from ong-bak and i think its better cause it uses replays a lot less. Fearless was pretty good and was supposed to be jet li's final action film. fighter in the wind is a Japanese film some some pretty kool fight scenes.

Except in its representation of white people. But it probably seemed that way to me cause they were just terrible actors.

Unleashed - Jet Li
Enter The Dragon - Bruce Lee

My two favourites right there I reckon.

Edit: Oh and Warrior King with Tony Jaa. It's got elephants!

Kerd ma Lui aka Born to Fight

By far my favourite of the bunch. It's a battle between terrorists and Olympians set in a small village. There's plenty of gore and explosions and even a nuke! What's not to love?

If you don't need a plot, The Protector and Ong Bak 1, 2, or 3, all with Tony Jaa, are pretty amazing.

Haha. The same Tony Jaa movie has been recommended with four different titles. Tom-Yum-Goong, The Protector, Warrior King, The Warrior are all the same movie with different regional titles.

Favourite scene: 50 consecutive arm/leg breaks.
You don't get between Tony Jaa and his elephants.

I'm also going to recommend Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer for more light-hearted martial arts movies.

I believe I have that movie in my Instant queue on Netflix. I've been meaning to watch it, I've just been lazy. Since you said it's realistic I'll have to try and watch it soon. I like the more "realistic" martial-art movies.
