I was wondering if any of you know a good pc game review site. The reason that I ask is that most of the mainstream sites seem to focus on console gaming and I feel that most pc gamers are looking for something different in their gaming than console gamers whether this be difficulty, mod-ability, or specific genres that are dead on the console or don't play well on them (rts/diablo clones/rogue-likes etc.).

Another issue is that console game reviews usually don't talk about bugs/glitches or control scheme differences. For example I found the game-pad controls for gta4 to be more enjoyable than mouse and keyboard because mouse and keyboard made the game way to easy. I usually play games with mouse and keyboard first because it is my preferred style of play yet I have only found a few sites that mentioned this issue and it seems that mainstream sites didn't mention it at all most likely because they immediately plugged in a 360 game-pad rather than play with mouse and keyboard (this is merely speculation on my part). Obviously I should have guessed that it played better with game-pad since it was designed for the 360 but there have been many games that have been really fun with mouse and keyboard even though they were designed for a console or ported later eg:psychonauts/mass effect/arkham asylum(even though it was released on pc at the same time).

Anyway lets hear your thoughts escapist

tl;dr read thread title give answer.

Well I mostly seek out dear old Mr. Biscuit, he really only does first impressions but he speaks his mind without corporate overlords stuffing his pockets.
Sometimes he does get very defensive of games that got bad publicity, but you can spot that quite easily.

PcPowerPlay are usually good for their reviews. They are one of the few reviewers that actually see repetition (eg. Call of Duty) for what it is and mark them done for doing so.
Heres the link for their reviews

Rock Paper Shotgun [www.rockpapershotgun.com] have a "What I Think" rather then the traditional review and while its often a few days later then most mainstream reviews, theydo a good job of mentioning PC related flaws such as control or graphics issues.
