Good Remakes.

Good remakes are a rare occurrence, But in a sea of crap we still have chunks of gold (and corn)If haven't been hiding under a rock or in a bunker waiting for the radioactive fallout of Y2K to dissipate you probably already know what I'm about to say. This one comes to us from the "indi devs" of Black Mesa Modification Team who has had anyone who has heard about it "shaking like a heroin junkie going through withdraw" from anticipation of Black Mesa Source a game combining the pure fun, nostalgia, simplicity and off beat humor of the original Half Life with the brix shitting graphics of Half Life 2.



Even if Half Life's not your cup of tea what's your favorite remake? If you don't have one you can simply reply with a dissatisfied grunt.

Not yet but think about it like a beef stew made in a slow cooker, takes for ever to finish but results in a tasty end product. They have a youtube channel but I'm not sure if i can link it without being banned for advertising.

The AGDI King's Quest remakes, as well as the Infamous Adventures King's Quest III and Space Quest II remakes.

All brilliantly remade, with new graphics, interface, voice acting and a few other changes.

Resident Evil on Gamecube definitely. No need foe elaboration.

I also loved Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes. I don't care what the so-called "true fans" say, I think it's awesome. MGS2 games engine and move set, and graphics, applied to MGS1... what's bad about that?

The Dawn of the Dead movie was a great remake, although I dunno if we're looking for movies. I agree that the Resident Evil Remake was fantastic, and I wish they'd make a Resident Evil 2 Remake. You know, Resident Evil: Outbreak was kind of sort of a remake of Resident Evil 3/2... at least in some parts. Kind of. Okay, well not REALLY. But kind of. There aren't that many game remakes, when you think about it.
