What I find very interesting about the article is that it doesn't actually mention whether or not the survey asked the question 'Have you ever used
Google Street View' first to see if they could offer an experienced opinion, let alone write any results from that question. Also, the website that ran the survey, yeah... [http://www.myvouchercodes.co.uk/] I doubt they're the most reliable or expert of sources; a website designed for ordering discount vouchers asking the public about a mapping option.
Call me skeptical, but I'm not sure whether or not any of the people actually used the
Street View option in their time on the Internet, nor do I suspect they actually know what it actually does. The pictures don't really offer enough detail beyond seeing a few plant pots in a window after a quick search of my home town (more specifically, the areas in and round the High Street and the College that I go to) and the faces and any personal data (car registration plates for example) about people are all blurred. Also, the pictures are old, as already said, and it can't update regularly enough to really be an effective tool for burglars or an invasion of privacy.
