Ah, remember when tv shows had opening theme music and footage?

Mine's obviously going to include Firefly's Ballard of Serenity, as number one.

Also:
- Evangelion
- Bonus Stage (particularly first and last seasons)
- Gundam Seed Destiny (first one, haven't actually seen much of it)
- Gundam Wing
- Bubblegum Crisis 2040
- Stargate (I like the music from SG1 better, but the footage from SGA better)
- Venture Brothers
- Futurama (favourite gags are 'coming soon to an illegal dvd near you - on an illegal dvd!; and the one that has the Fry Meme: not sure if new episode or just rerun)

PS: did anyone notice in Stargate Atlantis, if you pause it one the transitioning frame between the wraith walking through the corridor and it goes to the central tower... if you pause at just the right time... it looks like Ironman?

Star Trek Enterprise (I'm not a trekkie so I don't care the openning wasn't similar to the past shows and I like it for being different as it did capture the sense of wonder from exploration as the whole show set up to be given it was a preclude to all of them).

Openning 1 of Gundam Seed, 00 and AGE

Naruto Shippuden opening 7 (The Pain invasion arc as it give a great feel of danger and the rise of hope when Naruto finnaly arrived).

One Piece openning 13 and 14 (Openning 13 really capture the feel of that arc and it was also awesome to see the might of Whitebeard pirate and the Marine).

Any 80's cartoon shows openning (Visionaries, MASK, Ring Raiders and Jacye and the Wheel Warriors etc).

Justice League and Batman: TAS

Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG

Firefly and Farscape are both memorable, though for very different reasons. One of my favorites has to be the opening to Pillars of the Earth, it's a beautiful and moving score.

It's not just the tune! I love how the intro shows the parts of Westeros where that episodes' plot unfolds. I'm also a huge fan of how the keeps/cities build themselves up; it invokes fond memories of Command & Conquer building animations

For as disappointing as the anime turned out to be (second half is so lacklustre) the opening is AWESOME.
