Hi Escapists,
So i'm writing an essay on the ways in which companies will attempt to market new games, and I was wondering, what do you guys think have been some good examples of guerrilla marketing when it comes to games? Is there anything that you have thought was paticularly clever?
The sort of thing I mean is stuff like ilovebees.com, which was set up to promote halo 2, or noknownsurvivors for Dead Space. What do you, as consumers, feel when you have the opportunity to explore a games' narrative universe in greater depth, and does it bother you that these are essentially just interactive adverts?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Odog.
