Recently, I downloaded Battlefield 1943 from Xbox Live recently, which was fine and worked well. However, my xbox then lagged suddenly, and I pressed a couple of buttons just to see if it would have any effect. And oh boy, it did, without realising it, I had then also bought myself 1942: Joint Strike, a game I did not want and have no interest in.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Or a similar one at that.

hmm, not really. Did Microsoft charge you for the game, cause if they did, I'd complain.

I'd complain like a ************.

So, because you got impatient with lag you bought another game? Yes, your impatience is Microsoft's fault. Goddamn them for making you impatient!

Did you buy 1942 instead of 1943? If so you might not have a case as Microsoft would just tell you to watch what your clicking lol

But if you bought 43 and 42 at the same time, then id complain your ass off :)

I second the point this sarcasm is trying to get across. This isn't Microsoft's fault. It is impatience, and they will say "you should have realized you were on a menu where things are purchased and therefore should have seen that by pressing random buttons you could have potentially purchased an item by accident."

They aren't at fault. If anything, though, I'd blame your internet along with your own bit of fault.

... is it a good game, at least?

it's absolutely horrendous
and it wasn't internet lag
my xbox completely froze up and I had to turn it off, and when I turned it back on the game had been purchased

Something seems fishy here. I don't want to call you a liar, but I know we're not getting the whole story.

That's really rough...
You've got every right to complain and demand your money back.
But... have you played the game? You might like it.

Call them up and get aggressive. If you make enough of a fuss you might get a refund. You've got nothing to lose.

Remember self importance in the face of indifference is what makes the world go round. So in that sense *****...... dont just ***** but call fourth a ***** storm.

No but customer service is designed to kiss your ass. The only problem is getting to talk to a human being. But once you do, be direct and be aggressive
