You do know that repeatedly going in front of a judge and making knowingly false claims AND being under active criminal investigation are pretty good reasons for a lawyer to not be allowed practice right?
I thought that was just being a lawyer. It is the most honest profession after all.

Doesn't matter I guess. Orange man gone, Rudy gone, Anti-virus guy gone, who's next on the hit list?

I was gonna ask how the hell this guy was Mayor of New York back in the day.
Possibly because getting to be mayor (or indeed many other public offices) is more about show than it is competence.

Was New York just that bad off? Is New York Mayoral Politics that slimey(don't answer that)? Was Rudy actually not fucking insane in the 1980's?
I think Giuliani's big success was that a bunch of laws had been enacted to clamp down on organised crime, just apparently law enforcement agencies hadn't bothered using them. Giuliani found out about them, and did use them. After a string of massive successes prosecuting the NY mob, he was probably a shoe-in to win the mayoralty. But... maybe he was also the same Giuliani as the comedy Trump crony. It was just harder to notice when he could go round and boast he crippled the NY mob or could look serious / upset / angry about people flying planes in to the WTC. Once those were gone, there was nothing left but the comedy Trump crony.

Although part of it I suspect is he genuinely was better back then. I wonder if his ambition flickered out and died after his abortive presidential run (2008) and complacency set in. Add the decrepitude of advancing years, and he just became a shabby old dude filling his pockets and chasing younger women.

Can youu make sure to kick his dick a hundred times? Not just any shoe, no. I want him kicked in the dick a hundred times by a steel-toed boot wrapped in barbed wire. That'll be wonderful, thank you.
You mean that little shriveled thing between his legs?

I mean I guess it technically counts.

Might want to use a really big boot just to be sure you hit.

Please do at least 5 minutes of research about Giulliani before you start getting pissed about orange man.

Your TDS is showing.

Orange man bad still? Ok orange man's friends also bad. Yay no more orange man!
Well........yes.

Orange man was really bad. So the corrupt buffoon making very legally dubious move to help the bad orange man is also bad Its always really strange when people ironically go ''orange man bad'' as if the orange man hasn't proven countless of times that he really is that bad.

It's an argument generally made by Trump supporters to imply that the speaker is being irrational. Alternatively, it's used simply as a basic ***** dismissal of someone else's opinions.

People would stop saying 'orange man bad' (though honestly I've only ever heard it said by people criticizing the ones who are apparently saying it) if orange man stopped being... you know, bad.

Also, Ghouliani's suspension is apparently only temporary.

A lawyer would have evidence and then lie about what that evidence means... but you still have to turn up with evidence that meets a certain standard.

And your not going to get actual evidence from Project Veritas

It's also used by people on the left to dump on liberals who excuse every shortcoming of the Democratic Party with some variation of "but Trump!"

It's used both by left and right by this point. The right just uses it to deflect Trump both from valid and petty attacks.

Then you thought VERY wrong. The rules about being a lawyer, are actually far more strict about lawyers knowingly lying in court, and falsely presenting information in their capacity as a lawyer. So much so, that, at least in the New York laws, they cite it at least 3 times, as reasons a lawyer would be banned, and potentially disbarred.

Hollywood has painted the knowingly evil, and gleefully lying lawyers as the standard model, but the reality is, that they are held to a higher standard of voracity in their speech, than the average person. BECAUSE they know how to deal with laws, and can do more damage with their legal speak. You know, exactly like what Rudy has been doing.

It's not just "turn up with valid evidence" they are not permitted to knowingly give false statements in court. That's why all those lawyers, who were hired for the bullshit voter fraud cases, when actually IN COURT, in front of a judge, very clearly, and on the record, stated they were NOT filing, or claiming fraud. Hell Rudy did that himself when giving a deposition. Because those lawyers knew they would be in deep shit if they did say that in their capacity as a lawyer. They at least had the excuse of "they haven't been going around in public, making idiotic statements." They were just hired to do the case, not be a public figure. And so they never made any conflicting claims in public. They simply stated, under oath, that they were not claiming fraud. Which was true, because they knew they had zero standing for a fraud case. Rudy on the other hand, is so busy melting down, that he just rambles at whatever.

The fact that Rudy has been going around, acting as trump's lawyer, and claiming fraud, declaring he has evidence (that he never actual provides) has witnesses (that he never actually provides), and shouts from the alley of the nearest nail salon and 1 hour dry cleaners, about fraud, is why he's being banned from practicing law. Because he has used his clout as a "trained lawyer" to promote and propagate a completely unfounded, bullshit, factually wrong claim, to try and sway the results of legitimate elections. Doing that on one side, and then trying to say you're not on the other, is against the ethics rules for lawyering.

That's bad, courts and judges, and lawyers, don't like that shit. Thus, he is experiencing a reckoning on his unhinged behavior.

And then while they need them and after they need them. I think it's because legal training prepares one to argue any position on any issue (if needed) and that can give the impression to laypeople that you are insincere.

Yep. Every state I know of has rules for dealing with lawyers who attempt to mislead a court through outright lies or omissions. Sanctions can be rather tough.

You are correct. This is a "Great power, great responsibility" situation here. And I have no sympathy for lawyers who break this rule.

Nonsense. Rudy has Tons of Evidence of Voter Fraud.

It's just the Evidence goes to a different school. You wouldn't know where it is because it's in Canada, but it's totally real.
