You have yours and I have mine~!
So once upon a time I was thinking about the fact that I'm pretty much the only person who likes Fable 3.
And then I thought "Hey, what if other people like games that everybody else thinks is absolute shit?"
And then I watched Nostalgia Critic's Moulin Rogue video and an idea came to me... a Gaming Guilty Pleasures thread (not in any way related to a man named Malcovich)!
Post games you enjoy and everybody else hates!

Moulin Rouge is a great film, and anyone who says otherwise is lying.

I guess I could go for the obvious answer and say the Sonic franchise. Sonic '06, the Werehog sections of Unleashed, the Wii Storybook games, and (for some reason) Shadow the Hedgehog have mucked up the reputation so much that apparently Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations are automatically bad and people know that for an absolute fact even though they've never touched either game.

I've talked to other people who didn't like The Gunstringer, but I really enjoyed the charming style and the humor, and the developers made use of the Kinect in a good way, even if it's repetitive and the platforming sections sucked ass. I haven't talked to a whole lot of people about it, so I may be far from the only one for all I know.

I also love Fable 3(along with 2). They both have excellent senses of humor that made them worth hanging around for. I also like most of the LEGO games, while most people look down on them as children's games. I generally look forward to them(I don't pre-order them though, I like them, but they aren't worth a full $60). I loved Bioshock 2, and was way more attached to Delta/Johnny Topside than I ever was to Jack(also, Minerva's Den was better still). Also, Dragon Age 2 gets way more hate than it deserves. It was the same combat system as Origins minus the auto attack button(you attack each time you press attack instead of pressing attack and letting it auto attack)and say what you will, in a world where every sequel has to up the ante, it took brass balls to go from "save the world from an Archdemon at the head of a monster army" to "grow from a refugee to a leader in your adopted city". It's ballsy in the same way Persona 4 was, from saving the world to a murder mystery.

Fable 2 (OK, not sure if that one is really hated), Bioshock 2 and X-COM Terror from the Deep are the only ones springing to mind right now.

I enjoyed the Fable series as well, in fact I may have to play 2 or 3 again soon. Not to mention the GF enjoys 'em too. Bioshock 2 I loved I was far more attached to Eleanor, Delta, and Rapture in general. Though the first is still great, nothing is gonna top Sander Cohen for a long time(I want to take the ears off!. Just played through, DA2 again as well really my only problem was Anders *shudders* god I hated him. Can't really think of any others right now sadly.

Sonic and the Black Knight. I'm a sucker for sword and sorcery stuff, so throwing Sonic into that was right up my alley. I'm also more familiar with King Arthur than I am the Arabian Nights, so I was able to appreciate the allusions. That and I was just happy to be able to actually control Sonic that time around, damn you Secret Rings!

Terror from the deep wasn't so much hated as deeply feared.

OT: Divinity 2, say what you will but that game is fun.
Civ 5, sometimes you just want to build an empire of awesome. It's like Civ lite!
Call of Duty 4, it was a nice shooter before it became a repeated exercise in annoyance.
Primal Carnage, if shooting a giant T-Rex with LMG isn't fun I don't know what is anymore.
Warlock-Master of the Arcane, its like Civ 5, but lighter, and with magic.

UM...

The only ones I remember right now are:

Call of duty series. From the first Modern Warfare to Black Ops 2, all of them.

And... um. Well that one The Godfather game wasnt bad at all. Althougt its funny because I never even watched the movie itself, but I liked the game.

Gundam games.

Most are...mediocre, at best, but games like 'Gundam vs Zeta Gundam' are just great pick-up-and-play games.

Strike Witches, Upotte!, Girls und Panzer. Pretty much any fanservice show that has links to modern military/ weapons history.

Strike Witches in particular was hard to get into, as it consisted usually, of constant ass shots.

Naughty bear. It BEARly (sorry) sold any copies and it has more bugs in it than Australia. Still l can't stop loving it. It's frustrating and the voices (if you can call them that) makes me either very sad or very annoyed.

Captcha: IT'S FUN!

Enjoying Dragon Age 2 seems to be becoming my default response for topics like these. I'm part of a community group whose entire purpose is to state that it's a good game, for crying out loud. Otherwise...

I do like the Fable series. However, my biggest one is probably the Dead Space series. I'm not entirely sure why, but I enjoy the games greatly. I've become emotionally attached to Isaac in a way usually reserved for my RPG characters. I have to see where his story goes. So yeah, I am inevitably going to play the third game. Don't have a choice in the matter at this point.

Red Steel was great, best FPS on the Wii.

Well I keep coming back to these every so often & replaying them even when there are newer, or arguably better games for me to play.
The Drakan series Order of the Flame & The Ancient's Gates.
Gunman Chronicles, not sure if anyone else even remembers that odd little Standalone HL mod.
Typing of the Dead, so ridiculous & yet so addictive.
Bloodrayne, yea yea I know. But hot vampire (well within the limits of the original xbox's graphics) chick killing Nazis. I mean one of the cheats enhanced jiggling...
Postal 2, awful game, great time waster, even better bad day aggression sink.
Primal, a forgotten dot in the history of the PS2 but a fun game I still replay.
Final Fantasy X-2. Yes X was better, but this is guilty pleasures not obvious ones, I liked this game it was fun.
