Guitar hero - Rock band problemo

Tomorrow I'm gonna get rock band 2 and the drumkit for my ps2, I was just wondering if the guitar hero 1 and 3 guitars will work with rock band 1 or 2?
If anyone knows please helpp meeee haha

ive heard that they will... but im no expert, maybe you should google it or check the guitar hero/rockband websites if they have one?

I know for sure that GH controllers will not work for RB1. I am not sure if they will work with RB2 though. (This is the case for my PS3... so I'm guessing it's the same for the PS2)
