New news from Gamespot; Guitar Hero: Metallica will be made! It will be released AFTER GH4 so the game will likly incorporate drums and vocals. That and it will also have bands that inspired Metallica and bands of that sort. So expect some Diamond Head, Sabbath, Megadeath, Judas Priest, etc. This will be the heaviest GH yet!

also, Metallica by themselves have a huge range of diversity in their songs so it won't be boring. Really,, does "where the wild things are" or "2 x 4" sound like "frantic", "battery", "dyer's eve" or well....the new album snippits they have on mission metallica "Suicide! I've already died! your just the few alive I've waited for!"...or something like that. http://mx.youtube.com/watch?v=BgpV0_c2DOI#6xiKZlqhC3U for those who actually want to know what I mean by new stuff.

man, I still remember when I was getting laughed at for saying, "They'll make one eventually", after GH2 came out.

As much as I enjoy Metallica, I've never really found any of their songs fun to play on Guitar Hero/Rock Band.

i kind of have to agree with tthor. it kind of stopped being good at GH2. the whole fad is being stretched out far more than it should

I only actually got GHIII, so it's my only experience with the Guitar Hero franchise. But I still found it to be perfectly enjoyable.

Meh. I've hit the point where I'm no longer interested in paying full-game price for what amounts to little more than extra songs. It'd be a lot easier on the consumer if they just released these songs as download packs for the games they already have out but, being the money-grubbing corporate types, they're going to release a whole new game. Doesn't anyone else think it's a bit sad that we've seen a new Guitar Hero game every 6 months since Guitar Hero 2 came out?

I think that 6 months is a little quick. However, I love the Muse track pack. Well, I would, wouldn't I? I'm a Muse fan to the death!

Wow. Another game. This time with Metallica. Guitar Hero may as well be owned by Nintendo.

To be honest, I'm not even looking forward to GH4. If I wanted Rock Band, I'd buy Rock Band. I like Guitar Hero because I'm capable of playing it by myself and it isn't as much of a fuss because I don't need 3-4 different parts. I really like the sound of Guitar Hero: Metallica, but I hope it doesn't incorporate the drums and microphone because A) I don't want to fuss with it, and B) I don't want to spend my entire paycheck on it.

So...what sort of anti piracy measures has the band (Lars specifically) force the developers to implement? Honestly, I heard about this and groaned (not a fan of Metallica), but hearing that other bands that inspired them will be on it has perked my interest a bit.

This Guitar Hero will rock hard and WILL outsell Guitar Hero Aerosmith. You heard it here first, Metallica will beat Aerosmith yet again!

Guitar Hero 3, it's only recently been released. I downloaded it, and it's alright. Stockholm Syndrome is only good because it's got the tricky intro to master, but apart from that it's just endless repeating chords, I got 400,000 on it without breaking a sweat, and Exo-Politics and Supermassive Black Hole are even more boring to play... On second thoughts, it's rather rubbish :p
Here's my advice: If Matt Bellamy and his cronies give you a massive musical erection then get it. If not, spend your MS points on the classic rock pack instead.

Anyway, personally I think a GH: Metallica will be a bad thing. It just shows that GH is more Metal Hero than Guitar Hero...Fair enough if you like metal, but for a lot of people who light more mid-range popular rock music then Rock Band is a better choice.
