So what are your plans for this halloween? alcohol? robbery? maybe a hay ride or two?

Do you guys got costumes? if so, what are you going as

I know a majority of you are from the UK and around, so I just wanna know if you guys celebrate Halloween over there?

(just curious)

Me? well, I'm going to watch a pre-dvd showing of Clive Barkers "Midnight Meat Train" and maybe have a small party in my apartment

I don't dress up usually, but my girlfriend has this awesome brown wig and I have an eyepatch, and I look like Pliskin from "Escape from New York" if I wear them (a chubby version, but yea, that doesn't matter)

I'm English and hell yeah we celebrate Halloween! My university will probably arrange a Halloween fancy dress party at our local club. Should be great!

I am indeed going to be celebrating it, I shall be drinking and going to a lovely Halloween gig dressed as the spy from tf2 or the Fonejacker. if you dont know who the fonejacker is then...

Well, my wife's birthday is on Halloween, so I thought I would do something completely unique and spend it away from her floating around the Pacific... :(

getting very very drunk.... screw dressing up..... everyone looks different when you're very drunk so you don't need to dress up or anything...

Don't have anyone to celebrate with, and not many people here in Sweden dress up.
I expect new candy in stores on Halloween, as well as scary movies on TV.
Possibly some Halloween event on some online games i play.

Sadly that is all I expect.

I have no idea as of now, but I'm sure I'll be driving back home to look for whatever party my friends are hitting up. I doubt I'll dress up, but I will be ultra-smashed. I'll just wear a blazer and say I dressed up as a college professor, or dress normally and say I'm an off-duty police officer. Worked last year, since no one gives a fuck when they are drunk.

I'm a culturally curious person so don't be offended.

Is the actual name for that sort of party "fancy dress party" and omission of any word alters the meaning?

In the US we call them costume parties, if I get your meaning right.

Yup, we call them Fancy Dress Parties. I have no idea why. Might have something to do with Masquerades or something.

We do celebrate All Hallows Eve in the UK, but depending on who you are, you celebrate differently. I myself don't celebrate it as it's a Pagan holiday.

Halloween isn't half as big over here as it is your side of the pond, my mum (being Canadian) goes mad for it though.

I'm off to a Halloween party as the Stig from Top Gear, I've been dying to dress up as The Stig for ages purely so I can pretend to be a racing driver :)

I'll be hanging out with the [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.74299] search [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.74375] button [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.74297].

We really need one official Halloween thread.

Gonna stay the fuck away from candy as all the candy in the world have been contaminated by the Chinese. (No sarcasm, this is real. Google it)

I guess Redlac answered that question first. And don't worry I'm not offended in the least bit.

Enjoying my half-term
Ahh it's gonna be sweeet :D

I kinda wish I had a party to go to :(, I'd go as either Pyramid Head or Magenta from The Rocky Horror Picture Show:

"He's lucky, I'm lucky WE'RE ALL LUUUCKY!"

Pyramid Head? Wow, talk about original! Go for it! You could go a few steps further and not say a word. Creepy. >.>
