Hey everyone, a friend of mine woke up from a party with the worse hangover possible the next morning. Me and my other friends got into a discussion of the best cure, I heard some weird suggestions as I was only familiar with 2 effective and logical methods. Strong black Ice coffee and an oily breakfast with lots of chili.

Does anybody else know any hangover cures?

McDonalds and gatorade will fix any hangover within 15 minutes. Trust me, I've had it save me before class many many times.

Marijuana and alcohol do not mix well in my experience... I mean from what I heard. I would never engage in such illegal activity outside of Amsterdam.

Protein and water. Caffeine and painkillers dehydrate you, so in my experience, the best thing is pedia-lyte or Gatorade, as well as some protein of some sort. balances out your electrolytes, rehydrates you, and the protein helps with energy. That, or grab a big glass of water and rest.

Loud noises. After a couple of hangovers with really loud noises occurring each time, the person who gets the hangover will be put off drinking the amount needed to get hangovers just to avoid the pain. They will never get a hangover again after this.

Works like a charm.

Spike Spiegal says, "Drink a prairie oyster!"

Honestly, I got nothing. I wasn't even aware that there were any effective hangover cures. Most of what I've heard is a bunch of old wives' tales. Destal's suggestion is interesting, though.

Wasn't there an escapist article about a bacon sandwich being the ultimate cure for a hangover?

I admit, my hangovers are never the 'splitting headache' kind but more of the 'queezy, off stomach' kind and unfortunelty, the greasy food that would normally help, only makes things worse.

I've always found throwing up helps the most in my situations...

Use the Curse of Monkey Island cure:
  • Mix:
    1x Raw Egg
    1x Pepper
Hair from the Dog that bit you.

Unfortunately you need a dog to bite you.

Or you can listen to Pantera, it works for me.

I like to eat cheesy fries in those situations.

Or just bread and water. I've heard that Italian food is very good for hang-overs--that the tomato sauce works wonders.

Isnt it like a stick with a big part on top, like a club... well, more like a hammer... a wooden hammer, a mallet really... like a meat-tenderising mallet... for your face... yep, that'll knock the hangover right out of you and replace it with incredible pain and a throbbing headache but you will be tender. :D
