Happy new games for one

NOTE: New games. New. Also, changed "fun" to "happy". Makes more sense.

What games that just came out are funhappy. Not enjoyable, but funhappy. Let me explain:
Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard dosen't take itself seriously. FunHappy
Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, and Killzone 2 are depressing and realistic. Not FunHappy
I'm looking for games that are fun to play and put a smile on your face. Fallout 3 is different because while I like playing it I like the experience it is giving me, not that doing it gives me a big smile and remindes me of playing something like tag. FunHappy. Happy visuals, happy music, and fun. Here is a list of games I define as funhappy:
Quake Live - Fast and hectic nature.
Crackdown - When you find something to do, it is fun throwing cars and such.

SHORT VERSION: Are their any games that you like that are fun and happy, and can someone suggest a fun game for me to play that is new or has a visual style that is not old. I am asking deep down in my heart, like in the none shrivled and black part.

P.S. Gamestop, MGS3: Subsistance has a second disk. Next time I buy it used, give me the second disk. It does have gameplay on it. It's called multiplayer, even if it is no longer active. Suck it.
P.S.S The guys at my Gamestop are actualy very nice, but that was directed to the corperation as a whole.

If you have a Ps2 or a backwards-compatible Ps3, you should get all of the Jak and Daxter games, those are fun right through.

I haven't played, but Overlord looked like straight goofy fun. Also, Saint's Row 2 is pretty goofy too.

What sort of "smile" are we talking about here? Metroid makes me smile, but blasting things to bits isn't neccessarily appealing to everyone...MP3 is fun once you're in the swing.

Sands of Time and Two Thrones (Warrior Within is just too moody, the combat and puzzles are great but it's just so...dooooooooom'n'gloooooooom)

Many free indie games such as "Squid Yes! Not so Octopus!" and "Rescue: The Beagles."

I don't think so for Braid. It was good, but also incredibly frustrating with many of the later puzzles. That being said, Braid is "fun", but not crazy fun, but with no replay value, and with a crappy ending. Despite the high praise, that ending just isn't very good.

I think the Lego games are fun (Lego Star Wars, Lego Baman . . .) They are really easy, but it is refreshingly fun to watch the bad guys fall into little plastic pieces when you kill them!

I would say Saints Row 2 is goofy and fun, Prince of Persia is colourful and lots of fun, It's probably just worth a rental. Also, get Orange Box, its not new, but it's only $20 and it has TF2 which is a goofy FPS and Portal which is a very unique gaming experience.

Locoroco (2) - those bouncy little blobs always manage to bring a smile to my face, anyway. That's pretty much all I can think of.

I must say one thing though. Or two. Left 4 Dead depressing and realistic? Really? Same for Gears of War 2. At least say you have played Horde mode. Always had a blast with that one...
