Okay, everyone knows of at least one of these. Name a good game that is extremely hard to beat old or new.

Devil May Cry 3 was the first game in the series that I bought and I found it pretty tough. I had to play through each level a large number of times to beat it, but I guess it made it that much better when I did.

The first two Zelda games are pretty intense. So is the original Metroid. And Kirby's Dreamland on hard is simply brutal.

I couldn't beat the last boss on Metroid Fusion for the longest time, some may call Too Human very hard (such as the reviewers) but I found it to be relatively easy, and Ninja Gaiden 2.

The original Price of Persia (1990, not Sands of Time) can be a real ***** in places.

I got a couple of games over the weekend that I've played and beaten before and I don't remember them being that hard, but they are kicking my ass.
Oddworld: Strangers Wrath and Maximo are blopody tricky while Dino Stalker has this bastard timer on every mission that came from nowhere 'cus I'll be damned if it was there last time I had it...

Walk into a room, 500 enemies spawn. Best get that shotgun pumpin'.

Fallout: This is kind of a two sided difficulty, because while it's really, really challenging if you're playing it for the first time, if you have enough experiance with the game, you can beat in a small amount of time (there are people that have done ten minute long speedruns of the game)

Also, I was going to say I Wanna Be the Guy, but it's not a good game.
