Harley Quinn...Who could play her part?

Now a lot of people (including myself) really would love the idea of Harley Quinn being in the next Batman. The question is, who do you think could really play the role of Harley Quinn? Do you think an unknown would need to be picked up for the part?

Just to get the ball rolling...Kristen Bell. Why? I can't think of anyone else right now, and think perhaps she could do a fairly good job. However the calibre of acting that Ledger brought probably means that they are looking to best him, and Bell, while we haven't really seen her in such a part (everyone scoffed at Ledger being the Joker) I'm not sure if she could hack it.

Originaly it was suppose to be Madonna, so I hope they don't try and go that same route. And with Ledger as Joker, they might be wanting a younger face. Heaven forbid someone like Miley Cyrus or even worse, Paris Hilton gets the role. *cringe*

Kristen Bell? Feh, if you want the character to be vapid and annoying, then absolutely. I'd rather see Anna Faris, to tell you the truth.

That's a good one. I only think she doesn't have that quality that Quinn needs, but if I had to pick anyone out of who we have had so far, I'd pick her.

I agree with Helena Bonham Carter, although she's used to roles like that, and her casting might ruin the experience slightly. Hence:

Heath Ledger, from memory, never played a role where he was a psychopath with a moral compass equivalent to the one Jack Sparrow had in Pirates of the Caribbean, which is why, in my opinion, the experience of watching him be said psychopath was as enjoyable as it was.

I'm a decent Stargate SG-1 fan, and from what I can remember of the episodes where Amanda Tapping played a Samantha Carter with something mentally wrong with her, she was genuinely creepy. Pump steroids into that persona, and bam, it could be an instant success.

Hah, I knew someone was going to say Amanda Tapping eventually. I just think she's a bit old for the part and doesn't have the look in a way. She's a great actress though. Maybe the age part isn't a factor, but I can't see her as Quinn. But I guess you could just play the Ledger card and it would always work.
